The Dachshund Made Me Do It

Mad at my 'George'

My aunt came to live with us in January, and I really liked having another human around.......she rocks. She liked to cuddle with me on the couch while watching movies....and she has a LOT of movies!

In April, she brought home a little bitty furry, growling thing....and my mom and my aunt told me that this was 'George'. He was annoying, but any time I snapped at him, I got told 'NO' really, really loudly!!!

Turns out, George is what they call a Chihuahua. I don't know what a Chihuahua is, but I hope that they didn't make many of them. This 'George' got on my nerves, big-time.

He grew on me, though.....and within a couple of weeks, I couldn't go anywhere without my shadow. He became MY 'George'.....and I liked him. He was always getting into things......

I am sad now, because my aunt decided to move back to West Texas...and she took MY 'George' with her. Now I don't have my little toy to play with any longer.

Luckily, my good friend Macy comes over to play all the time now. She stayed here for an entire weekend recently, and we played and played until we were so tired that we collapsed. Macy may be a girl, but she's tough and can give me a run for my money!

And, the other night, Macy's dad brought her over to the house and dropped her off again!!!!

When I asked Macy how long she was staying, she said TWO WHOLE WEEKS! I asked her if her mom and dad were going to miss her - she said yes....but that they were going someplace called 'France' to do something called 'getting married'.....

...so now I have my friend here ALL the time - - and she will even go home to the farm with me for Thanksgiving! I love Thanksgiving - 'cause mom lets me have a tiny bit of Turkey.....and I get to play out on the farm for a couple of days with all of my 'family' - - MY 'George' will be there.....as well as my real-life brother, Big Fred. AND my uncle's lab, Rudy......as well as Maverick - the really really old dachshund that my mom's family got while she was still in High School. Can you believe that?!?!

And my aunt's other chihuahua, Titan, will be there....and another chihuahua named Lexxie.

OH, and I almost forgot! My mom's other dog...a lab named Diva will be there! She used to live with us - but decided she wanted to go to my uncle's farm because there are 80 acres to run and play on. AND I found out from my mom that Diva had baby puppies two weeks ago - so I will get to see my nieces and nephews! I still miss Diva - she was my 'sister' and we loved to play when we were puppies!
