Favorite Toy:
Hobo quit toys along time ago. Unless it's a squirrel that misses the tree!

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:
In the woods and in the river.

Arrival Story:
About 1995 I was stationed at a Fire Department where one of our fireman told me he had to get rid of there new puppy dalmation. I immediately jumped on the offer. Hobo has been my best friend since. Teaching him to educate children about fire safety by showing them his famous "Stop! Drop! and Roll!" trick. He is retired from Fire service and just hangs out with our other 2 dogs and horses. The trick he now does that is closest to my heart is when he bows his head to say prayer before every meal. Along side his family of 2 other dogs. Our Papillon, "Zilla", and Chihuahua, "Pepe". He is with us on a limited time now that he has been diagnosed with kidney failure. But he still has plenty of strength to catch a squirrel tresspassing in HIS yard. Hobo's most unique attribute is his SMILE! Yes! Hobo is one of those dogs that grins so big he wrinkles his face and shows his teeth. Always when I come home and sometimes on command. I guess I need to get a photo of that someday.

Bio:
We would love to communicate with other Dalmation families that have or are going thru Kidney failure with there 'Dalmy'.

On Thursday October 6th, 2005 I had to say good bye to my best buddy and friend. I held Hobo in my arms in the seat of my pick up truck while my vet put him to sleep. ..... someday... when I have the strength to talk more about it. ... I will. I miss him terribly. I love you Hob' It won't be long and I'll be with you so we can run thru the woods and find more squirrels to chase! ... good bye
p.s. Zilla and Pepe miss you terribly. They have been laying by your bed waiting for you to come home.

As Hobo's master, I new I had to sit down sometime and write a short story about this remarkable and loveable buddy of mine.
I don't have time to go into all the details about the start our relationship. .. so as time goes on I'll just have to reminesce about our past each time I come here to write more down.
But I need to get to the point here about Hobo's life coming to a close. Approximately 1yr ago he was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. I've managed to keep him alive and healthy with a special dog food diet alone (KD dog food). But he is waisting away and is now down to 63 lbs. the end is near. I suspect sometime in the next 6 months. But I'm shocked that he even lasted a whole year. I'll miss this guy terribly. In fact it's just too painful to continue here, so i must close and come back another day to write some more.
