Adopt 09 Contest

It's funny being adopted.
See, I don't look like my house mates. Not even close!
They are short and long.
I am tall and not so long.
They have dark coats.
My coat is light.
Their tail goes out back.
My tail curls gracefully over my back.
I'm adopted you see.
I get the same food.
I even get lots of toys.
Treats are a daily routine.
We get all of these, yes even me!
Being adopted is a little different from the rest.
It means I didn't get and early "Put to Rest".
Rather I got to come to a new home.
And get lots of love to call my own.
Please think of adoption as an option.
You never know the love, fun and goofy dog or cat you might call yours for ever and ever!

A very odd morning!!

Well, I won't tell mommy what happened but.........................

This morning when we woke up I refused , REFUSED to leave mommies side!
We all went out to potty and for the first time, I was not first at the door. I let Nugget and Diasy Mae go out first.
As THE alpha dog, I always go out before them.
Anyway.
Mommy came out with us like she always does (So she can pick up our doo do's) and I would not go potty. I kept asking her to pick me up and finally she did.
I was shaking and put my head on her shoulder cause I knew she would not put me down if I did that. It makes her melt.

So we came inside, all of us, and instead of getting breakfast ready mommy sat and held me. I finally stopped shaking.

Mommy set me down and we went to the kitchen, me under foot. Mom was adding the hot water to our meals when.....................

Daisy came running up to me and rubbed all over me!
My tail went right back up!!
We rubbyed and wagged tails like we had not seen each other all day!!
Then Nugget came over and all three of us did that for a few minutes.

Then that was it.
All is fine.
No problems.
Mommy wishes she knew what was going on!!
I'm not telling!

I didn't get it

Well I wanted to thank any of you who voted but we did not make it into the final round and mommy isn't going to enter again. We're just not popular enough to round up the votes.

I AM a winner

FYI~ I am sending this to everyone I know with pets so that you might also join in on the cause.
So for a while I was sending in Dogfessions. A friend turned me onto the site when she was helping to sponsor a shelter with the site.
I kept sending them in because we would win little prizes and it was for a great cause.
Well today I got an email from someone at dogfessions saying Duke won for "cutest tiny dog" and he won a carrier from Pet Teek!! How cool is that?!!
So anyway right now their campaign is that for each card they get in (you make them) Rachael Ray will donate one pound of dog food to a shelter!!
Come on guys!
Not only do you get the chance to win monthly prizes but I think they will do an end of year grand prize thingy too. And even if they don't, you might still get to see your creation online!!

Calendar Boy!!

Wow it has been a while since I have posted in my diary!!!
It has been exciting to say the least since we moved her to Cow Town!!!
Daisy got bit by a spider. We thought it was a scorpion but her communicator says it was a spider so we guess a black widow since we already killed one of those.
So, she almost died but we had out Dexamethasone on hand and brought her back once again!! She gets all the attention!!
We had a foster here for two months. Her name was Ryder but we called her Rye. Problem is, no one told me she was a foster and I really loved her a lot. She looked just like my momma but a lot bigger. Anyway, I miss her bunches. She has a new brother now. He's super cute too.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm.
I am in three calendars this year, and a post card too!! A post card!!!!
What else.
Not too much. We are adjusting here. I like the house, hate the hawks, like the people, hate the bugs, like the pets around , hate the owl at night!!

We moved yup we sure did!

And now I not aloud outside alone anymore.
This totally sucks!!
Cause I don't want mommy hanging over my tail all the time!
So not fair!
Anyway.
When we got here it was super scary cause Nugget ran off of the patio (we got here at midnight a week ago) not knowing there was a foot and a half drop! Ouch! He couldn't even use his front leg!!
Daddy took him to the EAC while we all waited, we were super scared without him.
Turned out to be a sprained shoulder. Made mommy cry but she was also glad it wasn't broken!
Now he is all better and we even get to take walks.
Walks are weird since there are barely any houses here to sniff at.
Oh, and yesterday, Nugget caught a bird! Mommy buried her out back in another yard. That was scary too!!
Got to go watch out the window!!

Adopt 08 Contest

Being adopted to me makes me feel very special cause it is a bond mommy and I have together.
She's adopted too!
I like that I have a forever home with the family that I got!
Yup.
They include all of us fur babies in each event of the year!
Our favorite is Halloween.
Then Birthdays.
Then Christmas and Hanukkah.
Easter and Passover.

My new mommy and dad buy me the best food, treats, and shampoo!!

I get to sleep in bed with them every night.
I get to wake up and kiss them every morning.
I get two and a half meals every single day with no worries!

Yup.
I love my forever home and being adopted.
It makes me feel special every single day.

My sister Daisy Mae

My sister Daisy Mae had to have emergancy surgery on her back on the evening of the 16th. See, she didn't do anything wrong but her legs decided not to be felt anymore!! She's only 6 years old and while mommy and daddy really didn't have the money for it, they really also didn't have a choice!
So into surgery she went.
She was out of surgery and hour later and seemed to take the meds ok. We were all nervous about that!!
So, less then 72 hours later (i'm making a long story short!) she got to come home. Surgeon said she was doing even better then anticpaited!! My sissy is funny that way!!
So she got home yesterday morning the 19th and has been here since. I get to look at her through this cage thing called and X pen and every now and then mom lets us sniff her and say hello.
Mom says it will be a long 6 weeks but we have our rules from the surgeon, lotso f love and lots of pals support to help us.
Now all we need is to get some money back into the savings!
So, my mommy is doing something about that.
She is making snuggle sacks and blankets.
The snuggle sacks are about 18 X 24 and the blankets are about 25 X 48. They are made out of fleece and super cute all from a smoke free home. They are $35 each and we are doing this to help pay for her surgery.

Snuggle sack beds!!!

My mom makes them now!! She made me one for the holidays, well ok just before. I love it! It is fleece and like one of those tie blankets. But, it is two layers of fleece to be super warm AND with one end open so you can crawl in and get warm!!
Well, mommy just wanted to be sure all of our pals knew so you can pmail me if you want to see one or to order one!! $35 includes shipping in the USA!!
