Arrival Story:
We decided in 2001 we wanted a puppy- we were about to undergo fertility treatment, and wanted a 'baby' to mother, I guess!! It has always been Mark's dream to own an Old English Sheepdog, so we read up about the breed, thought about it, rang people who had OES and finally decided we wanted a puppy. We initally wanted a bitch, but they were like gold dust, so when we rang a lady who had 2 bitches (sold) and 8 dogs, 6 weeks old, ready in2 weeks, we decided to travel to wales to see them. We chose Max after about an hour of looking- they were all so beautiful and it was a hard choice- but Max was a clear winner for us!!

Max came 2nd in am LKA competition last year, and qualified for Crufts, but couldnt go, due to a fractured leg. Max has two Cat siblings, Jack, who is 4, and Emma, who is 3, and they like to think they rule the roost- although Max has a disgusting habit of washing their private parts, which they're not all that thrilled about!

It was with great sadness in my heart, that I have to share the news that Max passed away, 12noon on 25th May, 2005.
On the night of 24th May, he attacked my husband, seriously wounding his throat and mouth. We still don't understand why - he was a well trained and well behaved dog, and he wasn't provoked - it was totally out of the blue.
My husband has had extensive facial surgery, and was lucky ot live through his experiance.
It was with great sadness that we chose to put Max to sleep - it was not made lightly, and his absence has left a gaping hole in our hearts, and lives.

RIP Puppy-boy - loving you now and forever, Mummy and Daddy xx

Well, I was shaved a few weeks ago -what were Mummy and Daddy thinking, in this weather?!
Mummy says its because I stopped letting them brush me, and called me a bad boy .... I'm sure thats not true!!
I've been playing in the snow, and have been playing with my new teddy that I got for Christmas - its a sylvester cat, and I love washing it, and treating him like my baby.
Mummy and Daddy are going away on holiday in July, so that means I go away too! Better pack my sun-cream ....

Today has been much the same as any other in our household. My humans, who I knw as Mummy and Daddy, have told me I'm off to the groomers in just under 2 weeks time, which is not good news!! I like looking scruffy .... whats wrong with stinking a bit?
Its not as if I need ot smell nice.... other dogs smell just like me, well, the ones I meet do!
Spent the day napping, playing with my favourite teddies (I really love teddies!) Steve and Dolphin, and asking to go out for walks.
Spent some time in the garden, hanging out with my girlfriend next door, Saskia. She tells me she's a German Shepherd, whatever that is, and that she is better than me as she's 4, which is a year older than me. I love her, a little bit more than she loves me!
Right, well, Daddy is taking me out for walkies now .... woof woof!
