Arrival Story:
We got Sadie to be a companion for our 19 yr old cocker when our 17 yr old cocker was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Teddy was very bonded to Smokey, and we were worried that Teddy would become very depressed when Smokey died. Sadie took very good care of Smokey while he was sick, and then doted on Teddy until Ted died at almost 21. Sadie was a show dog that was too hyper for the ring, so her owners from the Bay Area gave her to Cocker Rescue in Roseville, CA. We have had Sadie now for going on to 5 years. She now has a friend, Buddy, another cocker from Rescue.

Sadie is a party colored cocker. She loves people, so much so that she gets a bit too excited, but she is getting better with age. We call her a nurse dog, because she will check on myself or my partner throughout the day when we are sick. She can tell when i have a migraine, and will lay next to me for the whole day when i am laid up with one.
