Meeting people, followed closely by chasing vermin, especially squirrels, chipmunks & rabbits
Not being able to catch said vermin!
Sticks, squeaky toys, her little sister Jolie Amélie
Oh, boy. It's pretty disgusting ... goose poop!
Why walk when you can ride in the car? :)
Sit, shake, down, stay, be perfectly still for hours on end while watching for vermin
We adopted the Pup-A-Lup from the shelter when she was just four months old. She is our first dog and we adored her from the moment we saw her squiggling with excitement to meet us.
The ridgeback in Shelby makes her very independent and a challenge to train. She's a bit of an enigma, actually. Being part pit bull, she's a very muscular dog, so it's always shocking to see how quick she is when chasing squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits or other dogs. She once nearly caught up to a running greyhound at the dog park, which was just amazing. The greyhound put on a final burst of speed, leaving Shelby in the dust, but she was the only other dog in the park that day to even keep up that far! And even though Shelby is incredibly prey driven, she is very well behaved with our two cats and loves the smallest one, Cricket, as you can see in the photo. So cute!
All or nothin'!
