Being chased by other dogs and being physically close to us. She's a 45-pound lap dog!
Agility tunnels -- what's the point of going through something when you can jump over it? :)
Cat toys, like tiny shiny balls and fuzzy little mice
Honestly? We'll warn you ... it's pretty gross ... cat poop. Ugh!
Anywhere with her big sis, Darby Lynn
Sit, down, find heel, zooming over the A-frame, dog walk and teeter totter in agility.
We fostered Jolie for three months for a Dalmatian rescue in Louisiana and fell in love with her. She had been abandoned in the backyard without food, water or shelter in July in Louisiana (VERY hot & humid time) by an owner who moved. She was only 7 months old and had already had a litter of puppies. She was emaciated, flea-ridden and covered in red, itchy bumps. A neighbor finally realized that she had been left behind and brought her to the shelter. Dal rescue picked her up and boarded her at a vet until I went there to take her photo for the rescue Web site. When I saw what bad shape she was in, I couldn't leave her and immediately brought her home. Her lovely dark brown eyes were the saddest of any dog I've ever met.
Jolie-Monk is curiously serious when she isn't playing. She has a very calming effect, which is why we call her our "Zen Monkey." (The monkey nickname is because she likes to grab onto things with her front legs as if they were arms.) Her best friend is her big sister, Darby Lynn, and they can play tug or wrestle for hours. She tries desperately to convince her other big sister, Shelby Elizabeth, that she's cool to play with, too. Sometimes she gets Shelby to chase her and it's hilarious watching Jolie twist and turn just out of Shelby's reach or once Shelby "gets" her, literally bend herself in half so her head and butt are in Shelby's face. She learned the "here's my butt" maneuver from her big brother, Desoto Leopold.
I'm serious. Now chase me!
