Arrival Story:
We wanted to adopt dog, and my husband always wanted a golden. One day we got an email with pictures of a litter of golden puppies that had been born in Maryland. There were two purebreed dogs and the female had gotten pregnant by accident, so the owner was giving the puppies up for adoption. We immediately went down to Maryland and had our pick of the litter. They all looked alike, but we chose Lucy because she she was so calm and sweet. She had sat in some mud so we could identify her even as she ran around and got mixed up with her siblings. She passed all the puppy tests, so we scooped her up and took her home.
