Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 20th 2002
Likes: Eating , running like a crazy person when someone comes to visit, getting all of Mamas attention, playing with my toys with Mama, etc

Pet-Peeves: Being left ALOOOONE!!!

Favorite Toy: ALL of them!!

Favorite Food: Iams Mini Chunks, Milk Bone Flavor Snacks (only get them as a treat), Mama's food (Mama found out I have to have some as I go into shock seizures due to low sugar levels if she doesn't. I don't get enough to get fat of course)

Favorite Walk: Anywhere my Mama is

Best Tricks: Me? Do tricks? You're joking... right? No one taught me the tricks I know! ;D

Arrival Story: Mama said I (Misty) could fill this out instead of her, so, here goes. Mama got me at the kennel when I was just 8 weeks old. I was the runt of the litter because my biological Mama had to raise me and my siblings as well as another Mama Shih-Poo's puppies because they were rejected by their Mama, and I was always pushed aside by the 8 pups so I was a lot smaller and skinnier than the rest. Anyway it had been 10 years since my new Mama had a dog due to being so upset when her poodle and yorkie died of old age. She kept wanting another one over the years though and she couldn't stand to be without a dog anymore so she set out to get a small dog that would only be around 10" tall or less and weigh about 9-10 pounds or less when grown but Mama fell for me before the kennel owner ever told her what size I'd be when grown as I looked at her with my very expressive eyes, and wagged my still-straight tail like crazy, and walked right over to her, then climbed into her hands. I'm now 14" tall and weigh 14 1/2 pounds but she says there's just that much more of me to love and SPOIL ROTTEN!! :-D
I wouldn't eat anything but cooked breast of chicken when Mama got me and I became very ill. Mama tried the dog food Jane (kennel owner) told her to feed me but I hated that nasty stuff (I'd like to tell all you dogs what brand it was so you can avoid it at all costs but I better not mention name brands I don't like because the humans that make it might get angry)! Anyway Mama bought me some Purina Puppy Chow and I loved it so much that I grew up big and strong! Once I was at the age to change from puppy to adult dog food she bought me Iams Mini Bites and it's delicious too! I had seizures due to low sugar often and Mama about l0st me a few times but when her friend Ann's mate, Harry died in 2007 and she moved about a half a block away she came over quite often and always brings lunch with her and I've been low sugar seizure free ever since! Mama makes sure I have a few bites of what she's having , figuring there's something in it that I need in it that's not in my dog food. She doesn't give me enough to get fat of course.. just a few bites each day keeps me from having the seizures.

Bio: I'm a Shih-Poo and both of my birth parents were Shih-Poos too, I'm black with a few white hairs on my tummy, chest, between my toe pads, and my tail. I have brown eyes which Mama says look like an Appaloosa's because the white sclera shows like theirs do when I look around or when I try not to look at her after I do something naughty then give her my cutest puppy dog look of innocence. Mama says I look like a poodle with a shih-tzu's tail but my personality's like both.
Mama gave up on trying to teach me tricks but I have a few of my own such as give my right paw then my left paw, sit, manipulate her with my eyes, etc. Life's been great for me.. I have a Mama who loves and spoils me, We moved to a cool home in Lebanon, Ohio and all the neighbors are dog-friendly!
Mama had been showing modela animals since 1970 and has many mult-grand and world champs but had to quit in 1991 due to postage rates going up but in 2004 her E-mail and IM friend, Marie told her models can be shown online and it's free! Of course Mama wanted to get into that! I learned the ranch name was Isle Of View Ranch as it sounds like "I Love You" when said fast. I can look at the models but I'm not allowe to chew on them. It's cool being a ranch dog of such a tiny ranch! I can see the entire ranch without having to leave the house! LOL! Mama loves showing her models online!
Mama likes her fun pix galleries (pix of her models, Star Trek dolls, vintage GI Joes, Breyer rider dolls, etc. in storylines via pix and she decorates each page too like scrapbooking and I like to help her with her galleries but she says that kind of help she doesn't need as I run off with supplies and try to chew on the pages and all.
When I was a baby Mama was into virtual pets and I'd sleep in her lap whe she'd be doing stuff there and one time I woke up and climbed on the keyboard and messed up the game she was playing on Power Pets and she said "Misty! Bad!" (yep she when she says it that she's not happy about what I did. She never hits me) to try again and I whimpered and gave her my best "Make Mama's Heart Melt" look and she picked me up and I reached over and gave her vertual pet a puppy kiss! Mama giggled and gave me another hug! She quit virtual pets when she started showing models online as it got borign as the models and their riders, etc. were heres not a webmaster's and they were here all the time, not justs when she was on a website.

Misty's my friend, my baby and of course my ranch dog ( I show model horses on line and she's quite the little ranch dogh! She looks over the modls and uif any has fallen ove she's quick to let me know by barking to get my attention then snifing the fallen model, and if I forget to dust them for a week or so she sniffs them the sneezes and looks at me! She also has to supervis pix taking.. she has to sniff every model I pick up and when I come back in the house with them after taking pix she won't leave me alone till she gets to sniff them again before I put them back on the shelves). My "tail" goes back to when Misty was 8 weeks old in March 2003. Although I love all dongs from Great Danes to Chihuahuas to every breed and mixed breed in-between, I had planned on getting a puppy who would stay small (10" or less tall ) due to this house is small. I wanted to get her before I moved here in a couple weeks so she'd be bonding with me and have an idea what going outside to potty was all about. I looked in the newspaper.... non smaller than an Afghan. I called the local shelter... non smaller than a Rotweiller/German Shepherd mix. I looked on line...non any wher I could get to , so I called the breeder I got my last 2 dogs from (Maggie the Yorkie who died in 1996 and Co-Co the Poodle who died in 1993). Jane had Toy Poodles, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, and Shih-Tzus ....now she just had Shih-Poos and they got to be 15" or taller at the shoulder. She said she had one female left, The runt of the litter, who would be about 10" tall and weigh about 9 pounds when grown. I went over and when I saw her it just happened... I had to have her! Of course she'll never replace those I had over the years ut she's sure a combo of all of them (smart as
Co-Co, stubborn at times like Maggie, loyal/sweet/etc. like Pokey, etc.) and a plus is she loves cats so she's bvery welcomes at my friend's house (she and hubby have 7 cats). I love her so much and a few days ago somethign happened which made her even more special to me. I live alone and I'm disablednso having her to warn me if someone is at the door is a plus too. Sometimes late at ight she'll bartk and run on and off the bed and i get up, flick lights on (including the outside one) on and off, give her a hug, and we'd go back to bed. Oone night she did th s and since there never is anyone here that late and I wa sreally tired/sleepy i paid no attentiomn even though she continued to hop off the bed and run down the hall to the front door and back up on the bed and bark.... the next morning I seen I had forgotten to double-lock the door and it was open a bit! I could have been robbed or killed, and Misty could have gotten out (she likes to run off to play if she gets a chance and she's not road wise so she could be hit by a car)! She was trying to tell me about the door beign open and I paid no attention to her! Needless to say now I do! I picked her up and carried her to the door as Iclosed and double-locked it and gave her a big hug and thanked her and told her how good she was and all till she got tired of it and wanted to be set back on the floor. I thrn thanked God for Misty! she's bigger than I wanted my new dog to be (shes 14 1/2 " at the shoulder and weighs 14 lbs.0) but that just makes that much more of her to love. She's my baby and my best friend and, as I found out a few days ago, my hero! This is a special Tail of Devotion
