Arrival Story:
Chester was over 5 months when I learned through a local breeder that he was available to buy. Just prior to his being flown up from CA to AK he suffered a knee injury and it was almost another month before he finally got here, Sept. 03.

Bio:
*Updated* I have been living in Alaska for 5 years and like it very much! The winter is cold, but I still go outside to take a d... well, you know. Snow I don't mind too much, but rain I can do without. I tend to get grimy and matted outside so I now see the groomer every 2 weeks and Mom says it's best $19 she can spend on me. Life is good! I have maxed out in weight to 19 lbs! I have had a very sad 2008. My "sissy" died in March and she was one of the few humans I really loved. I miss her a lot. I get to spend some time with my kitty cousin, Cochise, and that makes me feel better. Love, Chester

Bad behavior?:
Chester has developed the habit of growling, biting and jumping on family members when we are leaving the house. I've read that this is a territorial behavior because he considers the living room as part of his domain and he doesn't like things upset within his domain. We're going to work on changing this behavior.
