Arrival Story:
Last May, Rosie's brother's dad, Jake, came upon ROCKET DOG RESCUE's mobile adoption in San Francisco and saw a family of five pups. Little did Jake know that these pups and their mother had been recently rescued from "death row" at a local dog pound. Jake met what would become his new pup and canine companion, Blaze, and adopted him on the spot. He quickly let me know that he had adopted a puppy and I had to see him. Upon meeting Blaze, I asked if there were any others. I then called ROCKET DOG RESCUE and asked about the reamaining pups - there was one male (Jack) and one female (Rose). I met the staff of ROCKET DOG RESCUE at Dolores Park in SF not knowing who I was about to adopt, only knowing that I was about to bring home a new pooch. I then adopted her sight unseen. She has been my best pal ever since. Her two feline housemates, Leo and Max, took to her pretty quickly and they have become best of friends.

Bio:
Rosie sees her big brother Blaze quite often and are like magnets when together - totally inseparable. They have plenty of sleepovers and take trips together. They spent their first Christmas together at Grandma's house in Huntington Beach - though her two cats weren't too thrilled. They even spent New Years Eve 2006 together in Oakland. Rosie's brothers Steve and Jack invited her, Blaze and their other brother Kiyoshi to their first birthday party at Stern Grove in SF on Sunday, March 12. All the pups were very excited about spending their first birthday together as a family. Steve and Jack's mom, Ashley, baked them a delicious "dog cake" and even sent a press release to the local papers telling of their birthday party that less than a year ago may never have happened if not for the wonderful efforts of Pali Boucher and ROCKET DOG RESCUE!! Check them out at www.rocketdogrescue.org. THANKS PALI!
