Arrival Story:
I once again wanted to volunteer at (another) shelter so on my first day as a dog walker, I saw him. He was the second dog we saw that day and immediately, I fell in love with him. I was with two friends who tried to drag me away to walk some other dogs but it was just too hard. I told my mom about him and went to visit him again on his 5th day as an impound dog (they require a 7 day waiting period). On his 7th day, they called us and came home with us.

Bio:
Kaedyn came to me at 16 pounds (grossly underweight for him). He was all bones. He didn't know how to trust and actually snapped at me when I made the mistake of towering over him. The only part of his past that I know is that his owners knew that he was at the pound. The shelter actually gave him a ride home for free but no one answered. They had seven days to pick him up and never came, despite them saying that they would. Their loss was my most spectacular gain. Although I can't prove it, I'm certain that he was mistreated. His teeth were HORRIBLE (our vet told us that if they had taken him to the vet, they would have pointed out the obvious problem with his teeth). He was extremely underweight and filthy. His coat was dull but the worst part was seeing the sadness in his eyes. Since then, he has become a new dog. When he's not sleeping beside his younger brother, he can be found playing with him. He still has trouble accepting strangers but he fully trusts me now. He's smart and will make an awesome obedience dog one day. He'll be going for his CGN and CD title soon. He just recently earned his HIC title as well! Not bad for a shelter dog!
