I've Been On Dogster Since:
We have been through a lot together. You are the first dog that I did not have to share with everyone else. We have went through some rough times and you are with me now when my sister died. I love you. You are the perfect first dog. I would not trade you for anyone else. You are getting up in years and I know you won't be around forever. I will greatly miss you. You helped me through it all. You are one of the only constants in my life. Thank you for being dumped in our yard when I was 13 years old. I love you.
Today, my mommy and her roommate took some of us dogs for a walk on the Marshal Swamp Trail. It was all nice and grand at first but it took forever. Don't get me wrong, I love to go for walks. We had never been on this trail so we didn't know how long it would take or where it led too. We just walked forever through the woods. We would stop ever so often and get some water. We wound up walking 6 miles. We didn't know the trail was 3 miles long and then we had to go back to the beginning to get back to the car. I was so tired. I just wanted to lay down but mom kept telling me that we had to keep going. I thought it would never end. Maybe next time I won't ask to go on the walk too.
Yesterday my mommy and her roommate wanted to go for a walk. They like to take me and Annie for a walk on the greenway since we do not like the dog park (to much humping and puppy excitement for me). So we started going on our walk. This time though they took Pippen and Ruby with us. We were just walking along. I love to go for walks. We kept seeing people on bikes and roller blades. Apparently when the weather gets warmer more people start venturing outside. Who would have thought. I prefer to be inside when it gets warmer outside. I was just walking along sniffing the air. We went a moderate pace so that Annie could keep up. Us old girls have to look out for one another. Before I knew it we were at the end of the trail. That is like 3 miles from where we started. Then we turned around and started back. This really nice older lady stopped to pet me. I was more worried about walking so I did a run by petting. Mom made me stop every now and then so that the other dogs could catch up. So I would sit down and take a little breather. I love to go on my walks. We finally got back to the car. I was pooped. I had walked 6 miles. It only took us 2 hours to do it. I guess that is good time. I can't wait to go back.
