Arrival Story:
I became obsessed with getting a dog, not just any dog, one I would have to groom & brush & take care of when I was stuck in a hotel room for 4 mths (!!!) in Missouri (!!!!!). I wanted to adopot a rescue dog & knew a Maltese was the one! This was to be my first official "dog" and boy was I naive about rescue dogs! Well it just happened that a little Maltese boy puppy, he was only 4 mnths old (!!!) was available 10 min. away from where we were staying & the timing couldn't have been more perfect! And that's all she wrote!!
Bio:
Simon has been to more states than most people I know. Since my husband is in the army - Simon is a wrld-class traveler! He's also missing three toes & toe nails on one paw since he was rescued from a puppy mill & as the story goes his mother chewed them off. You wouldn't know it though!!

This is Simon's Mommy just saying that last night Simon had a sleep over at his friend Wilson's house (Mommy needed a little ~alone~ time). And I can hardly wait to see him!!! Now - back to Simon!
Last night I got to sleep over at my best friend Wilson's house!! Yipee! That means that I can go outside until really-really late at night for no reason at all! Mommy doesn't like to let me play outside when it's dark out, but Wilson's house has a big yard to play in and he gets to go outside ALL THE TIME! It was soooo much fun!! And I got to sleep on the back of his couch! I just love it up there. I can see where everyone is and if anything EXCITING happens!! At home, mommy shares our house with Auntie Kara and I have to stay in mommy's room to sleep all the time. I don't mind really, I like to sleep on mommy's bed, but on Wilson's couch - boy oh boy - THAT's the "IT" spot to be at!!!
I overheard Auntie Shelly (Wilson's mom) on the phone to mommy. She said I needed a bath. Hey isn't that the point of a sleep over? Sleep on the couch - eat lots of treats (!!!) - and play outside in the grass and in the dirt and in the mud and annoy the neighbor dog?
Gotta' go - time to give Wilson an early wake-up call!!!

Yes, this morning sure came early today!
Mommy has to take Aunt Shelly to school so that means I have to get up too - no fair! I tried to hide into the tiniest ball possible, but she still found me! I love Mommy and Aunt Shelly & Auntie Kara & Daddy (who's been gone a really-really long time!) & Grandpa & Grandma & even that tiny little girl person who lives far away (that whole biting incident was a mis-understanding - promise!!!!)
I really don't mind getting up in the morning. This way I get to play with my best-best-bestest friend Wilson the whole day! He's Aunt Shelly's doggie. He's what they call a Yorkie. But for some reason he doesn't have to wear a bow in HIS hair . . . . . !
I know Mommy will come and get me (she always does!), so it's fun to play all day. Yesterday I got to stay outside all day!!! That was the best man! I love the grass and the trees and the birds oh, and I saw Tiger (Wilson's older cat brother, but we don't really like him. He's fun to tease!). I got to dig allllllll day & Mommy doesn't mind even though I get really super dirty. I love the dirt! It tastes good and is fun to dig in!
I let Mommy come me each night and sometimes in the morning too. I like it. I like it when mommy gives me ALL her attention!!
Time to go! Need to go sneak up on Wilson & pounce on him!!
