Arrival Story:
I originally had a beautiful yellow lab named Wilson who was born 04/01/03. Wilson had serious medical problems. After spending almost $4k on him trying to diagnose , treat, and cure him, I had to put this baby to sleep at 6 months old. He had unspecified digestive disease which caused his intestines to thicken and he could not absorb or digest his food and was starving to death from the inside out. When he died at 6 months old, Wilson only weighed 17 lbs. During this horrible time, I was part of an online mailing list for Labrador Retriever enthusiasts. They too tried to help and donated some money to help with his vet bills , etc. All the money in the world could not save this golden boy and now he is an angel above watching over me. Wagging his tail ,and playing pain free and healthy at the bridge. I tell you about Wilson, because without him, there would be no Ryley. A wonderful breeder in Central California heard of how hard I tried to save my boy through this Lab mailing list and wrote to me a couple weeks after he died. She selflessly offered one of her champion sired puppies to me at no cost other than his health exam, and I had to fly down from Seattle to pick him up. I didn't think I could get another pup so soon after the devastation I experienced with Wilson but something inside told me to do it. So I did, and now I have this wonderful, healthy, happy bundle of joy that has healed my heart so much I can never thank Doreen & Dianne (the breeders) enough. They brought joy back into my life at one of the worst times in my life. Thank You. I love Ryley and I promise to give him the best possible life I can.

My parents fell so in love with Ryley that they purchased his sister, Brandy and had her shipped out the next week. In Nov 2004, we moved to a coastal area in British Columbia and Ryley is now an official beach dog which he loves :o) ** Update Sept 2008 ** Ryley unexpectedly and tragically died of cancer this month just after his 5th birthday. I am heartbroken and will update his page when I can.
