Arrival Story: A friend called and said she had a neighbor who had their bichon chained in the backyard. A new husband didn't like him, so Teddy was put out. He was emaciated and had heartworms. She had finally convinced her neighbor to let her find a new home for Teddy. She called me, I drove 3 hours, and found the love of my life. A couple of pounds, treatment for heartworms - Teddy is good as new! Bio: Teddy has two canine brothers - Zeke and Duncan.His canine sisters are Wendy and Blossom. (Technically Wendy, Blossom, and Duncan are foster siblings, but they've been here so long they are just part of the family). He has two feline sisters - Louise and Jennie June. He has many many feline foster siblings. Teddy has a bunny brother named Desi, two foster hamsters and two foster mice. Whew! My Mommy had some trouble understanding why and how JR left us to go to heaven. I hear that people sometimes have that trouble. We pups understand about going to heaven, and now it's my turn to try to explain to my Mom that our best friends, pups, kitties, and folks, never really are gone. And love (or WUV, as JR would say) is forever. Mom says it has helped that JR Angel is now posting, and is still leading our club, the BLC. He has seen my kitty sisters in heaven, where they are waiting on all of us so we can be together again. Thanks JR. You were an angel already - now you just have those wings. Blitz in bliss!
We have lost two family members since the last time I wrote. I have not been playing on Dogster because we have been so sad. Both of my kitty sisters have gone to wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge. Louise, my oldest kitty sister, left us in October. I have tried to help my Mommy by being extra snuggly. Me and Louise were Mommy's best bed buddies and sofa buddies. I try to fill two spots, but I'm just a little Bichon. Then, earlier this week, my other kitty sister Jennie June got hit by a car. Mommy never lets any of us out alone, except Jennie June, because she was a barn kitty who became a porch kitty. She did not like to be in the house. We are so sad. Please keep all of us in your hearts.

1. ) My mommy teaches school and sometimes I go to work with her! Our assistant principal has a silky terrier named Ziggy, and we Zig and Blitz together.
2 .) I love popcorn. It is a versatile sort of food - you can play with it until you are tired of playing, then you eat it!
3.) One day I found a way out of the fence in our backyard. Mommy usually watches me like a hawk when I'm outside doing my business, but that day she got distracted. When she looked out the front door she saw a little white dog in the neighbor's yard. She said "Goodness, that looks like a Bichon!" Since she rescues dogs, she went next door to check it out. Boy did I surprise her!
I thought it was such a funny game, but when I realized how worried she was, I let her catch me. Now the fence is fixed and I just stay home (mostly on the sofa).
4.) I have a little heart murmur, and I use it to my advantage.
5.) When I first came to live with my mommy, she came home one day and couldn't find me. She had never had a Bichon before and didn't know I was secretly a Circus Dog. She looked and looked and called me. Finally she saw a movement of white - I was wagging my tail! I was on the counter top behind the toaster! I always win hide-and-seek.
6.) I'm the only dog my grandma and granddaddy ever let in their house.
Their cat is scared of me even though he's bigger than I am. I guess I just give off an air of ferocity.
7.) I decide on a daily basis whether I am housetrained that day or not. I think Mommy likes the element of surprise - right??
