Arrival Story:
Brody was one of the six at a local humane society that had been there over 4 months, whom I promised I would not allow them to die there. When the call came that 1/2 the animals had to be put down, I adopted all 6, Brody was one of them. He had been brought in by the police dept after being abandoned in a back yard, chained to a concrete block, starving and beaten. Luckily he knew how to be a good boy at the shelter, and a kennel worker took a special like to him, so he was able to spare his life until I got him. When I brought him home, he was a bit hateful when touched, probably due to being beaten as well as not feeling good ( this was found out later) Brody had severe heartworms, fluid on abdomen, etc. He was in bad shape. 2 vets refused treatment saying they would kill him trying to treat him. Finally one vet agreed with me.. I would rather him die me trying to save him, than him die and me doing nothing. Miraculously Brody went thru the treatments with flying colors, not one hitch. He almost immediately got a completely different personality, he LOVED everyone, wanted constant attention, and was playful.I am so grateful, this vet felt the same as me and was willing to risk treating Brody. He has been a complete joy in this home.

Brody considers himself a MANLY MAN, he does not care to stoop to the silly antics that Ozzy pulls for his attention. He thinks of himself as PURE ROTTWEILLER:)
