Birthday: June 25th 1992 Likes: Amber loved to lay in the sun and sleep Pet-Peeves: She hated having her nails trimmed and didn't like other dogs around Favorite Toy: She never really played with toys Favorite Food: Amber loved all food! Favorite Walk: She had hip dysplasia, so walks weren't really an option Best Tricks: She didn't do any tricks. She never was interested in learning. She'd just walk away and go lay down Arrival Story: I got Amber from my Aunt. I went home to New Jersey for my Great-Grandmother's funeral. My Aunt's dog had a litter of pup's that were about ready to go home. So, I picked one out and brought her home with me when I left. Bio: Amber was a wonderful dog. She stole my heart from day one. She went to college with me and helped me through the loss of my father. She was the sweetest dog and just loved to get attention. But, when she had enough, she'd go lay down and want to be left alone. I miss her every day and I still cry when I think about her. She was 12 when I lost her. She went into kidney failure and even though we tried everything, I still lost her. She died at home in my arms. It's something that I'll never forget...it was the hardest thing in the world for me. But, now I have my Jersey girl. She's such a sweetheart and she has no idea how much she's helped to heal my heart. I've Been On Dogster Since:
