 Quick Bio:
Likes: Car rides; rollerblading with mommy; scratching; food! food! food! (people food!); playing chase when Mommy lets me off the leash (sometimes Mommy isn't playing chase but I don't know that)

Pet-Peeves: Screaming, angry people; thunder; Mommy's bagpipes; medicine in my ear; having my nails clipped

Favorite Toy: Sandy's not big on toys. However, she really liked the rawhide "candycane" that grandpop gave her for Christmas in 2003; stuffed pig; balled up pieces of paper or empty paper towel/toilet paper rolls - she loves tearing these to shreds

Favorite Food: Any food but especially bacon, beef, cooked carrots, cooked sugar snap peas, spaghetti, and wet cat food (she sneaks up on the cats and eats theirs)

Favorite Walk: Just about anywhere. She loves to run - I had to get rollwerblades so that she could.

Best Tricks: Gimme five!

Arrival Story: Sandy's a rescue; we found her on the street. Sandy was about 11 pounds underweight, had intestinal parasites, and was in need of a bath and grooming.
The strange thing is that if we had filled out a checklist of ideal characteristics for our dog, dog, Sandy would have been it. The first time I let her in the house we had a crate ready... we were going to work on some crate training. Well, we never had to do that. Sandy went straight into the crate. Sandy has only had three accidents in the house EVER and those were when she was "sick" because we had over-indulged her human food habit. She doesn't bark unless we let her out and forget to let her back in... then she gives us one bark to let us know she's still there.

Bio: Sandy's a shy girl with strangers; likes our neighbor's little white poodle, Frasier; and acts like a vicious beast with some new dogs - she wants to play but it sure scares people!
Sandy keeps inviting the cats to play but they're "stupid cats" and don't get it. Sometimes, if they get too close, she'll get excited, bark at them, and then give chase. I'm pretty sure the cats do NOT enjoy this game.
We really love our Sandy-girl.
