Bil Jac reduced fat for indoor dogs.
Favorite Walk:
Maddie is a great walker, but is terrified by traffic. She despises the HOA's leaf blowing team the most of all.
Best Tricks:
Maddie can catch a treat in her mouth that is thrown in the air. She's a gold medal nuzzler and snuggler to boot.
Arrival Story:
I am so glad that Maddie allows me to be her pet human.
I went to the humane society one spring morning in 2004 and was overwhelmed with all that I saw there.
There were two little wookie-looking puppies in her cage - her brother and herself. She walked up to me with her little tail thumping and I got her into the crook of my arm. I did not set her down until I was putting her into the car to go home with me. As I held her I could feel her little heartbeat through all of that fur and knowing that I felt pretty much the same, it was a done deal.
Bio:
Maddie was somewhat mistreated as a pup and is afraid of loud noises. This makes her sometimes difficult to walk - for example if there are garbage trucks, power tools or people shouting in the background.
She is "shy" by nature as well because one of her "grandparents," as best we can tell, was a greyhound. Greyhounds are big people-pleasers and Maddie certainly fits this to a tee - she is very animated but is extremely docile, loyal and good-natured like no dog I have ever seen.
