Arrival Story:
On 7-27-05, I was browsing around on petfinder.com to see all the available dogs when I came across a posting for a bulldog in my area. There was no picture to view because Ceasar was just admitted into the shelter a couple of days earlier. When I called the shelter, the lady on the phone told me that the bulldog was all white and that he loved to give hugs - literally. She told me that several people had called to inquire about him and if I was serious about adopting I should hurry over. Quite frankly, I was not really interested in obtaining another bulldog, as I already had one that was 3 months old that was bought for me by my husband as a wedding gift, but in the back of my mind I though it would be nice to have a sibling for our Brutis. I called my husband at work to tell him about "Kevin" - that was the name the shelter gave him. I was just curious to see what Kevin looked like so my husband and I planned to meet each other at the shelter after we both got off of work later that day. As soon as we pulled up to the shelter, another couple pulled in right behind us. As we went to inquire about Kevin, it turned out the other couple was also there to see him too! After the interview procedure and much consideration I could not resist his cute little face. We had to make a decision right there, right then if we were going to adopted him because if we didn't, the other couple was going to. Thankfully, because we arrived at the shelter just a couple minutes before the other couple, the shelter owner said we had the first choice. That's the story of how Ceasar came into our lives - our beautiful adopted bully and Brutis' stepbrother.

Just 1 week after adopting Ceasar, he was schedueled for surgery on his eye lids. He had severe entropion which caused a constant eye infection and major irritation. Ceasar was constantly rubbing his eye with his paw and smooshing his face into tight places in an attempt to relieve the pain. The entropion surgery helped tremendously and definately allowed Ceasar to see the world. I remember when we got him, he would run to us, but all we could see was a face of wrinkles... no eyes. Ceasar squinted his eyes 24/7, we don't even know how long he was suffering not being able to see clearly because of his rolled eyelids. I am so happy God brought Ceasar into our lives so we were able to rescue him. He truely is a blessing from the Lord God above. Please support dog rescue!
