Arrival Story:
At our local training center, they also breed Airedale and Lakeland Terriers. Their male Airedale was bred to a female in Michigan. Her first litter, she had 12 puppies! They sent the remaining puppies down to Illinois and that is when we found Nick.

Bio:
Nick has his Canine Good Citizenship Certificate and is a registered Therapy Dog. Nick is also my hero. As I was shopping at our local PetSmart, a man asked me if he could help me load the 4 bags of dog food in my truck. I politely said, thanks, but no and off I went. At the door, there he was again, asking to help me. I again said no thank you and went to my truck. I put Nick in a down/wait while I loaded the bags in the back. I saw out of the corner of my eye, his leash moving and turned to see the man standing there again! He AGAIN asked to help and I said "No thank you". Nick had positioned himself between me and this creep, just standing. No growling, barking, nothing, he just stood there. The mas asked if he could pet my dog and I said no. He asked why? He's not growling or anything. I said, he's not growling because he's conserving his energy. He said, really? For what? I said, "because if you come any closer, he's going to rip your throat out! He looked at Nick and Nick just stared into his eyes. The man backed away....I was lucky to have him with me that day. Nick's Brother is Larry, a Golden Retriever. You can see Larry's page at.......
