Leave a bone for Daisy (2004 ♥ 2007)

Special Gift Box:

Nicknames: The Hound

Badges:  Quick Bio:
 Arrival Story: Rescued ~ I was abandoned, along with my two sisters, in front of the library steps. A nice lady Mona from Animal Rescue of Stokes County came by and rescued us. My sisters were adopted right away, and I stayed with a foster mom for about four months.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Peeps ~ I met my peeps at a pet adoption weekend. They took me for walkies and it was love at first sight. They couldn't resist my big doggie grin. I went home with them May 2004 - Memorial Day weekend.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Home Sweet Home ~ I've got a big back yard that opens up into the forest. There is plenty of wildlife for me to chase after: squirrels, groundhogs, possums, moles, wild turkeys, deer, and one time, even a cow that escaped a nearby farm!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ms. Smarty Pants ~ I was house trained in almost two seconds flat. Seriously. I make a "yowl-y" yelp when I need to take care of business. I can pretty much go potty on command - although if I don't need to go, I still do a ceremonial squat to appease my peeps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bio: Sugar 'n' Spice ...and everything nice! I think I am part whippet (I'm really really skinny, deep chest, and gots da long sticks), some basenji (cute wrinkles, coloring, curly tail and vocalizations), and all hound (I love to sniff & chase anything that moves).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WooF! ~ Since I am part basenji, my peeps didn't know if I could bark, but BOY oh BOY! Can I! I didn't really start to bark until I was about two years old though. I also make lots of monkey noises too when I'm excited and happy - Ooo Ooo! AaaH AaaH!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Accomplishments ~ I am a fast learner... especially when it involves treatses! Tricks I can do include: Sit, Stay, Fetch, (Lay) Down, Dance, Shake, High Five, Bow, Bang (play dead), Drop (a toy), and Catch (only works with cheese).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To Do List ~ I need to work on my greetings... I get WAY too excited - I literally VIBRATE! I like to jump on people so I can give 'em kisses on da lips! I've narded a few guys in my attempts to kiss 'em. Woops! Sorry doods.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Play Time ~ I love squeakie toys! I love to destroy 'em! I also love to run! Night time brings out the wild hound in me and I will do zoomies around the backyard. I love to chase anything that moves! I'm a sighthound through and through.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Rainbow Bridge ~ Daisy lost her fight against cancer and passed away on Tuesday, July 31st, 2007. She was surrounded by love during her final days. She was a one-of-a-kinda girl... she will always be remembered. She was *that* dog. The once in a lifetime dog that you never ever forget.
At Britney Spears' Perth, Australia show Friday night - fans walked out after about three songs, angry that she wasn't singing live.
Even the Australian government has gotten involved in the dispute. New South Wales Minister for Fair Trade Virginia Judge is considering requiring Britney to disclose on tickets for future shows that she doesn't sing live. "Australians would not tolerate a 'Mickey Mouse' performace," Judge told the Sydney Daily Telegraph. "Let's be clear. Live means live."
Yeah!!!! :o) Although I feel bad for Britney, people aren't paying money to see her prance around in skimpy outfits grinding robotically against some dood or doods. Does anybody sing live anymore???
Former Golden Girls star Rue McClanahan is recovering after undergoing an emergency heart bypass, just days after her doctor spotted a problem during a routine medical examination.
The 75-year-old actress was hospitalised earlier this month after a physician noticed a problem with her heart while undergoing tests for a planned knee operation.
McClanahan, best known for her role as Blanche Devereaux on the hit series, apologised to fans for having to pull out of Golden: A Gala Tribute to Rue McClanahan at San Francisco's Castro Theatre on 14 November.
But despite insisting she just needed some "maintenance on the old ticker", the star was rushed into the operating room on Wednesday to undergo serious heart bypass surgery.
However, her pal Del Shores reveals the op went "very, very well," adding, "She's going to be great and up and entertaining us all very shortly."
Tennis star Andre Agassi kept a hair-raising secret under his hat throughout his stellar tennis career - his famous 'lion-mane' locks were in fact a wig.
The retired athlete and eight-time Grand Slam champion has revealed he donned a toupee during his games after realizing he was losing his hair in his early 20s.
The shocking confession appears in his new autobiography, Open, in which Agassi also admits he was hooked on addictive drug crystal methamphetamine at the height of his career.
Agassi is convinced he could have won more matches if he hadn't gone prematurely bald - because he was so worried his toupee would fall off on the court. BOL!
