Arrival Story:
Scooby-Doo was originally purchased by my sister-in-law's neighbor. Scooby-Doo was a present for their children. The parents realized that their children would not properly care for Scooby (which was the deal they made when purchasing him), and asked my sister-in-law if they knew of anyone who wanted a puppy. My wife, who saw Scooby when he was 1st brought home by this family (and desperately wanted him that first day), picked Scooby up right away. Scooby kept his name because he happened to recognize his name even as a puppy.
