Arrival Story:
We wanted to get a friend for Loki, to help him burn off some of his energy and have a buddy to hang around with. We knew another male was out of the question, so we started looking for a slightly older female for him on various rescue group sites. We saw Leah and thought she was precious - although a little older than we wanted. A trip to visit her at the vet in Gaineville where she was being treated for heartworm sealed the deal - we couldn't leave without her! She's very calm, very sweet but not so into the whole "play" thing with her rambunctious brother. Oh well - he loves his big sister like crazy and maybe one day I'll catch them playing! :-)

Bio:
We lost our dear Leah on February 8, 2010. She suffered a serious but short illness, still of unknown origin, and passed away at home with both Mommy and Daddy at her side. We miss her terribly but are so grateful for the time we got to spend with this very special girl.
