Birthday:

Likes:
When Lucky was around, her favorite thing to do was sit in a cattail field and wait for someone to pick her a cattail. She used to destroy them, with the ripe cattail fuzz flying everywhere!

Pet-Peeves:
She didn't like being hungry. Typical Cocker, huh?

Favorite Toy:
She didn't play with typical toys....cattails were her toys.

Favorite Food:
Anything humans would eat. She preferred canned food to dry.

Favorite Walk:
On the shoreline to the cattail field....she also used to like to swim out to my boat to go for a ride!

Best Tricks:
She would sit, stay, shake, and fetch. And, opening presents! She loved opening her own treats!!!

Arrival Story:
Fresh out of college with a new job and a shiny new credit card, I had a day off to go shopping. Shame on me. I went into a pet store, oblivious of the reputations that some pet stores had of getting puppies from puppy mills. Well, I saw this adorable little buff Cocker puppy, with a litter mate. I asked the staff if I could go into the puppy room with them....when I was in the room, the one puppy was very active and definitely "alpha" over her sister. She was darn cute, I couldn't resist. Bought her on the spot.

Bio:
Once she was six months old, I realized that my purchase was probably not the most intelligent thing I had ever done. Lucky was the sweetest dog in the world, but also the sickest. She had ALL KINDS of medical problems.....ranging from skin infections, ear infections, eye infections, etc. You name it, she had it. She was the 'hot spot' queen.....we had to keep her shaved so we could apply the skin ointment to her hotspots. We also had her ear canals surgically reconstructed to attempt to end the ear infections (it didn't work). Anyway, she was a WONDERFUL dog, but I learned to research before purchase!
