Happy Birthday to me and Dogster

Well technically my birthday is tomorrow, I'm a leap year baby, but mom says we can celebrate today and tomorrow since there's no February 29th this year. It's also a dogster milestone for our puppy family, Pepe and I have been on dogster for more than a year. Mom says she's been a bad mommy lately and hasn't had too much time to update our photos and diary entries. She says that we can expect more doggy photos from my two day birthday celebration. Well, that's all for now.

Our babies

Pepe and I were blessed with two beautiful puppies, a boy and a girl. Our little boy didn't make it past birth. Our little girl, mommy named her Lulu, lasted for six days before she died as well. We were all devastated, especially mommy and I. Pepe and I went smelling throughout the house looking for our little baby. Mommy said she had to wash everything and throw things out so that we didn't continue to look for her. Mommy said we can try for puppies again some other time, the main thing is that Pepe and I are alright. I know mommy still misses my little girl alot. Sometimes I'll see her looking at pictures of Lulu and me, she'll have water in her eyes and on her face when she looks at those pictures. Mom says she'll post a few of those pictures on my site so that we don't forget Lulu.

Puppy Patrol

Mommy is on puppy patrol. The vet told mom that we're going to be hearing the pitter patter of little paws in two to three weeks. My boyfriend Pepe and I are expecting little ones and Mommy is going to be a granny. Mommy is so excited and says she can't wait for the puppies to get here, even though she says she's too young to be a grandma. I'm being treated like a queen and Mom says Pepe is being a good little man and she's pretty sure he'll be a good papa. Our little family is about to GROW. Mom will help me update everyone with pictures and diary entries when the little ones arrive.

Little Miss Picky Dresser

Mom bought us some new clothes. She says I'm pickier than she is when it comes to clothes. I don't like turtlenecks, but I'm always cold so mom says I'm a puzzle. She also says I'm a claustrophobe, I'm not sure what the heck that means. Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that I don't like turtleneck sweaters because they feel weird on my neck. So mom had to go to the GAP to buy me a hoodie sweater from there. I love it, it doesn't wrap around my neck, yet it's keeps me toasty warm. Pepe uses anything when he gets cold so he has a bunch of clothes, my old stuff and mom got him a GAP sweater as well. Unfortunately for Pepe, the hand me downs he has from me are pink. Oh well, he still makes it pretty manly, I guess.

Give me a ring a ding

Mommy has these really weird things that come out from a thing that she likes to talk on all the time, when she's in the car, in the house, etc. It makes these great noises that Pepe and I like to sing to. Mom changes the sounds all the time and she says she has different sounds for differnt things like a call, a text message and an email. I have no idea what she's talking about, but I like to sing to all of the sounds so I really don't mind. In fact, sometimes I wish people would give my mom a ring a ding all the time because boy do I loooooooooooove to sing. Sometimes when mom gets sounds on her little machine we get to go on great adventures to the beach and to the park with mom's friends. We have lots of aunties and uncles who love us a lot and like to come over and take us on adventures. Our favorite adventure is going to the beach. The white stuff is great to dig in and run along. The water can be rough though, mom doesn't like it when we take of running toward the water because she says we're so small. She also said something about a nightmare scene from something called Jaws involving a dog swimming at the beach. We're not sure where mom is going with that one, but that's okay. Our mom is a little bit nuts sometimes, but we love her anyway. Hopefully mommy gets some sounds on her little machine again that will get us to the beach. I'm going to cross all of my toes on all of my paws.

Yay the rain went away!

The Hawaiian snow (aka rain) finally went away. Now Pepe and I can go outside again. We still haven't done it though because there were drainage problems from all of the flooding and mommy wants to make sure there isn't any bacteria or raw sewage in our area. Dang, almost got outside but not quite. Well hopefully mommy will let us out soon. So instead, Pepe and I are helping mommy clean up the house. She was looking through some pictures of me when I was a puppy and mommy started singing a song called Memories. Pepe and I sang with her of course even though I dunno what the heck memories are. Mommy says it's a CATS thing, I don't get it and where in the world are the cats! Should I start panicking now or later?! I don't want mommy to bring cats into the house too, it's bad enough that I have to share my mommy and the bed with Pepe. Hopefully mommy doesn't bring any cats into the house.

Rain Rain go away

It's been raining and raining and raining and raining in Hawaii. That's the Hawaiian winter for you. So all of this rain means flooding and flooding and flooding. It's very bad right now. I feel really sorry for all of the tourists who are here on spring break. They planned for some fun in the sun in Hawaii but they came and saw only rain. Meanwhile, Pepe and I are suffering from cabin fever. Mom isn't letting us out of the house because it's been storming and she doesn't want any of us, including her, getting sick. There's one good thing about the weather though, it's perfect for snuggling and cuddling; so mommy, Pepe and I have been doing a lot of that lately and that's really nice.

Oy the Luck of the Irish

Today is Saint Patty's Day and Mommy has us walking around wearing green so that we don't get pinched. Not that anybody in their right mind is going to pinch cutie doggies! Especially since Pepe and I can sing! But that's not the point..heh heh heh. I haven't seen any of the other doggies in the neighborhood today, so I don't know if anyone else's mom and dad is in as festive a mood as our mom. We think our mom is just nuts, but we love her anyway because she loves us to pieces. Mom, Pepe and I are keeping our eyes peeled for any other Saint Patty's pooches on the block because we want to take pictures of them and post them on our pages. We'll let you know how the search goes...

My primary pic

Mom changed my primary pic because she says this one reminds her of a picture the photographer took of her when she was a baby. She showed us the picture and she's right, mom was a chubby little baby with her head poking out of the baby blanket when the photographer snapped the picture. I like the blanket I'm in because it's so nice and warm. I get cold a lot even though I live in Hawaii. Mom says it's just a part of my nature so I shouldn't worry about it. Plus that's why she has all of these warm blankets lying around the house for me and Pepe when we start shivering. Then we have our sweaters too. Well I have a bunch of sweaters that Pepe likes to steal. Sometimes our sweaters just aren't enough though, so that's where the blankets come in. And sometimes I just don't feel like wearing my sweaters, they make me feel like I'm choking sometimes becuase it's stuck around my neck. Oh well, thank goodness mom has so many warm and cuddly blankets and sweaters in the house. Hip hip hooray for warm stuff even in Hawaii!

Welcome to the neighborhood

We met a new dog in the neighborhood as mom took us for a walk yesterday. Her name is Lani and she lives a few doors down from us. She's a cuddly little poodle. At first we were a little shy because Lani came charging at us from across the street. She was so eager to make friends that she was dragging her mom across the road. We played hard to get at first, but then Pepe and I made fast friends. Lani's mom was commenting on how lonely she gets and our mom told her that I was the same way until she brought Pepe into our lives to keep me company. Lani's mom says that may be a possibility since Lani is a tiny little girl and they have a pretty big house. Well we made a date to meet up with Lani again so that we can run and play since we're not scared anymore...now that we know Lani is just lonely.
