Arrival Story:
Nicki from Blue Strata came into the office and said they had a Ridgeback-cross at the SPCA who would be put down if we didn't take her. She had been abandoned along with her brother, and they had both contracted parvo virus, resulting in the death of her little brother. We took her, and my heart nearly broke the night I picked her up. She was sooo thin, and she just sat in my car, all wet, with this look of complete distrust in her eyes. My, how she has changed.
Bio:
In the first weeks of July in 2007, Ciara took one last adventure. She had always wanted to explore the big wide world and was never happy with being locked inside the grounds of a house. She ran away and despite being chipped (twice actually), us putting up fliers around the whole neighbourhood and offering a R1,000 reward, my little baby Ciara was never returned to us. She continues to break my heart everyday and I will always miss her.
