Likes:
Chasing Cats, this is his ULTIMATE thrill... however, we do not condone it.

Pet-Peeves:
Cats walking past our windows or yard and other dogs taking his chewy bones, when his sister jumps up on visitors (makes him sooo mad)

Favorite Toy:
Doesnt really have one... refuses to act interested in toys while his sister Andie is around. We are convinced that he thinks she is really stupid for playing with them...

Favorite Food:
Bubble Gum!!! He will stare you down for a piece that has already been chewed.

Favorite Walk:
Dog Park because he gets to be off leash

Best Tricks:
High Five... he sometimes mistakes "Stay" for high five.. and he would much rather high five. :)

Arrival Story:
My husband and I were driving past the local Wal-Mart and there was a man selling pups out of his car.... we stopped and looked at them.... went home to think about it, drove back and purchased him..Not the best idea in the world, but we love him and who knows what would have happened to him if didnt buy him. He was only 5 weeks old and covered in dust and fleas.

Bio:
Dar thinks he is King of the World. He isnt scared of much and will act like he is the toughest dog until another dog proves to him that he isn't... not too many take the challenge. But, that said, he is a nice guy. He loves to run around and play with his "sister" Andie. And he is always ready to give his opinion on anything, generally in the form of a long "wooooooo woooooo woooooo" - typical husky style. He has a very high prey drive, hence kitty cat chasing tendencies, but really, the neighborhood cats do tease him. One sits in the neighbors yard and cleans its paws, all the while he is in stalk mode on the other side of the fence. Dar knows how to sit, stay, down, shake, high 5, roll over, lay on his side, jump things, retrieve things (although you better have a big hot dog ready for him when he gets back with the retrieved object), leave it (sometimes, unless it is a big ole hot dog). We have not been very successful with heeling. However Dar does enjoy long rides on the Springer bicycle attachment. He loves cold weather, especially snow, go figure. He will not get within a 10' radius of any poo material, even if you threw a big hot dog 5' from a pile of poo, he still wouldnt go in for it. He has too much dignity for anything so vile. :) He has a strong will to enforce "the rules" - If his sister jumps up on people, or furniture he is quick to tell her she isnt supposed to be doing that. Ever the enforcer. If there is a fight at the dogpark he will be the first on the scene, checking it out, not joining in, just seeing what the problem is. We nickname him "Dar; Dog Park police" when we are at the dogpark. He LOVES all people, especially if they let him get away with stuff that "his humans" wont let him do. Half of the time at the dogpark is spent getting pet by other people that are there.

The arrival of the beings from outer space...

New "Puppy" in the house....

Well, she finally arrived... its been a while... January 17th, 2006. Andie and I spent two weeks being boarded at the vet while mom and dad were at the hospital. First mom had high blood pressure, then the new baby was jaundiced... so it was a LONG time. We honestly thought maybe we had been abandoned... but they came back and it was great!

Now there is a funny smelling baby they call "Emma" - she is always being carried around by mom and dad... what's that all about?? They never carry ME around. Anyhoo, I guess she is okay... but I hate it when she cries... I always ask to go outside when she cries. Andie thinks the baby is just GREAT, I think she is OK...

Why is Mommy so moody?

Well, Mom and Dad have started talking about "the baby"..... I wonder what this mysterious thing is... could it be a fabulous new treat, or toy?? I mean, if it takes nine months, it must be something pretty cool.

But geez, they sure do want me to be good in order to get this treat.... what's with all the heeling on walks, and being forced to listen to directions... it's like they have suddenly decided to enforce all those rules I thought they had forgotten about. Oh well, I am sure this baby thing they speak of will be worth all this extra effort... I sure hope so.

Cats??? In MY garage??

Okay, Mom has gone WAY too far.... she says we have foster kitties in the garage... I can smell them (they are stinky) and I can hear them... but I cant see them... Andie said the Momma cat attacked her the other day.

I'm thinking maybe she is keeping them out there, and she will give them to us for Christmas... but Andie doesnt agree, she thinks they are just out there until they can find homes of their own.
