Well Dogster friends,

Our little family celebrated Moets 16th birthday this past March 21st.
Her special day included balloons and a trip to BK ( Burger King!) where we ordered a kid's meal to go as a special treat. Some new veggie bones were the hit of the evening.
We are so grateful to all your thoughts and prayers and our miracle puppy is right back to her routine. We are enjoying every single day!

Heartfelt Thanks

To all our dogster friends,

I can't thank you enough for all the wonderful gifts and messages sent to Moet. The power of your pawsitive thoughts has helped to bring a dramatic turnaround to our girl. Angus and his Mommas "Snoopy Dancing" was the clincher. She is eating with gusto, enjoying her favorites again and getting up and around alot more with alot of animation and mischief in her eyes! Her sniffer is working much better too!
I can't figure out how to email you all through the site, so I am hoping that you check in and see this update and know how grateful we are to you all! We just love "The Power of the Paws!"

Dave and Laura

Dear dogster diary,

Our baby girl Moet has been having a difficult time. A month shy of her 16th birthday, she was recently diagnosed with kidney and heart issues. The past few weeks have been a roller coaster of emotion for us and the same for her with her health.
She is on alot of medications and there are alot of side effects. She has lost most of her appetite ( for the dog who loves mostly everything) and we are just taking it a day at a time.
Yesterday, was extremely difficult. After 3 straight days with visits at the vet, she lost her ability to use her rear legs. Dave and I thought it was going to be our last day with her. The miracle puppy that she is, she rebounded late in the day and started getting around. Her doctor, always amazed as we are, can't contribute it to anything. All the same, we are thrilled and relieved she seems to be doing better, and her appetitie has increased this past day.
So I am home again with her today, and she is sleeping soundly at my feet....cuddled in her warm bed. She comes first...always has and always will. I can't imagine it being any other way. She is after all, the world's best.

The luckiest momma in the world.

Angus tagged me! What fun this is!

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their diary the rules and their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don't forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

Seven random facts about me:

1. They think I am deaf, but I hear quite well, I am just selective!
2. I am an accomplished gardeners assistant. I dig, Mom plants.
3. I carry my dads socks around the entire house ( sometimes several laps ) and bury them in our bed. I must do this every night before we all go to sleep.
4. I am the whitest cocker spaniel in the whole world!
5. I hate the beauty parlor! Roll me in dirt any day!
6. I have an awesome collection of bandanas for every holiday, occassion and season! I even have a Yankees one to make my Dad happy.
7. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks...I learned at 14 years + how to open the kitchen cabinet to get into the garbage. ( Sometimes my people throw perfectly good food away! )

I tag Avery, Pawsy, Bailey, Shadow, Mia, Carson and Eddie!

A big howl out there to my dogster pal for the rosette! As a typical girl I look forward to alot more! I hope every pup and their people enjoyed their summer and their corn on the cob! I am enjoying the cooler weather, much better hair days for me with the low humidity! Here is to chasin leaves!

On a more somber side, my yellow lab pal Lily is at the rainbow bridge. Her kidney problems were too severe and her family had to make the tough decision to help her on her journey to the bridge. Please say a prayer for Lily and her family. She will be missed by all who knew her......

dog days

Hi all,

I haven't added to my diary in a while....I've just been so sleepy with it being so hot. The last few days have been beautiful with cooler weather, so I have been back on my routine, long walks at night and lots of barking in my yard.
My neighbor Dakota came over for a visit the other day with her people. She is a Great Dane puppy and she ate part of my fence. She sticks her head through a big hole she chewed out and her people needed to see what they needed to fix for us. I have added a picture of her to my webpage for you to see for yourself!

I have had lots of corn lately, an grilled veggies and steak. One of my favorites is what my daddy calls a MoBurger! Especially made for me!
BBQ'ing is my favorite part of summer after helping my mom in the garden, which we both love the best! I dig and she plants all the flowers and vegtables. It is a team effort! I like to chase little red cherry tomatoes!

I am putting a shout out to Lily, my yellow lab friend, for prayers that she feels better real soon. Her people are really sad that she has been hurting.
Me too! xoxox to Lily!

OH, before I forget!...... my mom and daddy found a great place for lemon ices so at night we go for a nice walk around the park after we get an ice to share and its all new sniffin territory.... good workout from my nose to my tail!
and I got a new collar and leash for just being me! It is so fabulous and funky! and a new towel with paw prints to wipe my feet.....ah....ain't life a howl!

xoxo love moet,
barks and biscuits forever!

what a few weeks!

Hi all!

These past few weeks have been tough ones on my mom and dad. I wasn't feeling well and had to go to the emergency doctor in the middle of the night.
Something was wrong with me and I couldn't stand or hold my head up. The doctors took good care of me and ran alot of tests. The told my mom and dad that I would have to stay but the thought I had " Old Dog Vestubular Disease" Hah! Old Dog! I showed them. I was much better in a few hours, but nervous and scared because I don't like the doctor at all! I stayed the night and mom and dad came to visit me in a special playroom. They brought my treats and my froggie to keep me company. The next night they let me go home but I had to take antibiotic for an eye infection they found and to follow up with my regular doctor...heart murmur they said I had.
So I am doing great now. Chasing squirrels and helping my mom in the garden. Hah! Old Dog! They didn't know who they were dealing with!

barks and biscuits to all my friends,
xoxox
