My Night at the Pub

Mom took me to the new dog friendly patio in our neighborhood after class. We met Dad there. I had my first beer!

Let me explain… Mom ordered a drink and the waiter showed up at our table with a big tray of beer and water for me. I had to investigate so I stood right up and WOW I was as tall as the tray. That beer smelled good but my big snout toppled the glass over. Boom!

Nothing broke, but the floor, my side, and mom’s leg were covered with beer. She was embarrassed but they began laughing. Then I laid down, except for when the wings came. I tried to investigate but both of them said NO so I laid back down.

Dad loves the pub and will take me to watch football with his friends this Fall. I hope his friends don’t use me to try and pick up girls..

Mom had to clean me up and when we got home she rubbed me with mango scented dry mousse shampoo.

I really liked hanging out on the deck and watching the people go by, can’t wait to go again!

New Treat for Trets

Mom & Dad have been going to Rita’s water ice. It reminds them of home in Philly. I have gone a few times because they have a dog friendly seating area outside! So, 2 nights ago I was sitting around, being petted by new friends, and they brought me a cup of fat free custard with a cookie on top.MMM. Bestest treat!! Mom loved the way I lapped it up, small cup, my tongue did not fit all the way in, so I had to eat it slowly. MMM. When we got back home, we took a very long wait to burn the calories. Can’t wait for the next one.

Big Weekend for the Ambassador!

Mom & I worked HARD at the Pet Expo this weekend. It was a big show for pet related vendors, and they invited GSD Rescue of GA to participate in the festivities.

For me, it was paradise! If there is one in your city, please go! Samples of food, treats and toys everywhere. My favorite, Dogswell, was there.

Friday, Day 1, everyone fed me! I got sick and mom did not give me dinner. I had too many carrot cookies. I also grabbed a Natural Balance dog food roll from the counter with my teeth. Mom did not think I was funny but they cut 2 big slices for my lunch. I also had a glamour shot taken. Looking handsome in my blue boa, cuz I’m secure in my masculinity.

Sat., I was fine, but my diet was restricted. Mom did let me take stuff home. I ran an agility course! Mom forgot what time the games were so we could not play, but that is OK, we were working. Sun., I got to play a find it board game, look for the treat under the removable squares. It was fun, for an educational toy. I also tried Natural Balance Hobo Chili. MMM. It was warm and everything, I even tied to get the can from the trash. They felt bad and gave us a sample can. Mom bought me beef jerky too.

I got petted by hundreds of people and met lots of dogs. Mom was very happy I represented the breed and showed people what wonderful companions German shepherds make. I am tired, gotta get some sleep! It is hard work being an ambassador.

K9 for the Cure

This dog walk was part of American Cancer Society Relay for Life. We know people and pets that have had cancer so we had to do this on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. We walked through the park and reflected on those we lost and those still in our lives.

Trets met so many dogs and dog lovers, and we saw people we knew. It was heartwarming to see my social guy in action. There were vendors with treats, his favorite, Dogwell. He stood on the bench and stuck his big head into the bag of chicken treats. They got a picture of Mr. Mischief.

We won the raffle, a box of Doggie Delight cookies. We won twice but gave the second box to the humane society.
It was great to get out and do something good; we encourage all our friends to do the same.

The Ambassador gets brushed

During our last GSD Rescue event at Petco, Mom dropped me off to have my nails clipped. She loaded up the car and thanked everyone for a job well done, took a little longer than expected. She went to the grooming area to find me and I was gone! I was sitting in the middle of the store, being brushed by 2 of my big fans! I was smiling big time, that Furminator feels good. Everyone said how good I was so I got to eat cookie treats on the way home. I love events!

It’s Tretsiecakes’ Birthday!

3 years ago Tretiak came home with us. Life has not been the same. We thought he was 3 but he was a typical 1 year old GSD, no manners, lots of energy, hated his crate. The first thing we did was take a long walk in the rain. That’s the gift Trets gave me, “Tretsercise”, we are walking buddies.

He’s been through training and is a mature, well behaved ambassador for GSD Rescue of GA. When there is agility class, a chance for a ride or NATHANS, he gets very excited and jumps on his hinds. Trets has also learned to howl at sirens and we have been freestyle dancing.

I call Trets the best boyfriend ever because he goes everyplace with me, no questions asked, and is loyally by my side. His smile, wagging tail and willingness to lean on whoever approaches him make everyone he meets feel warm and fuzzy just like him.

Chew-Tastic

I got an early birthday gift yesterday..a peanut butter filled chew hoof!!MMM.

Usually, when I come home from an event, I go to sleep. No tlast night, I was up till 11:30 chewing on my hoof! This mrning it was all gone.

I hope I get more for my b. day!!

Another day at work

We had a GSD Rescue of GA event today. FUN. I was petted a lot and made some new friends. A lot of them bought cookies for me, so I had a big lunch MMM. And mommy got me a chew hoof. I got a new ball too. By the end of the day I was so sleepy. I am one of the very few that really like their job!

A Pedi for Trettie

Mom & Dad took me to Petco, I thought we were gonna get treats but nope, SURPRISE I got my nails done. I don't like the dremel. I squirm alot. It took 2 groomers to hold me so I was still. I was still wagging though...

We did get some gingerbread bites and then I went to Lowe's. Much funner.

Oh Boy, Christmas Presents!

I got to open Secret Santa present all by myself. What fun!! Then Mom let me open the gift from cousin peanut but well, I ate the tape part and she had to pry it from my mouth..

That was the best part. But I got some TOYS. A crowing rooster and honking pheasant. I also got bullys and cookies. We had a BBQ for Chrsitmas and I tried to get a burger but mom was looking. Maybe next time.
