Arrival Story:
We first saw Jordi stray by the side of the road, filthy and matted. Decided to rescue him. After animal control caught him, we adopted him from the shelter and took him home to see if he would fit in our family or if we needed to find a new home for him. We soon fell in love with him and he with us and with his sister Brandy and he is now a permanent member of the family!

Bio:
Sad Update: We lost our beloved Jordi on July 6, 2004 after a brief illness. Jordi had been perfectly healthy until he developed some arthritic pain in his hind quarters and the vet prescribed RIMADYL (generic name CARPROFEN). After only 13 days on this drug, Jordi became ill and subsequently died. I later found out that his symptoms were characteristic of RIMADYL REACTION and that any dog who is put on this drug should first have thorough BLOOD WORK done, and people should be ADVISED by their vets of the RISKS of this drug, including death, and what symptoms should be looked for as indicative of possible reaction to it. Jordi's vet NEVER DID THIS, telling us the drug was safe, when in fact many deaths have been associated with it. We love you and miss you, dear Jordi, and we beg everyone to be VERY CAUTIOUS in the use of Rimadyl.
