fathers day

It has been a while since I was here. I have been busy. We had a good fathers day ( I got daddy a new pair of shorts).

Elizabeth ( my human niece) was here and we played in the yard. She is getting to like me. I am sort of big and she was afraid....I did tend to get excited and knock her down now and then but I am learning.

I have a new neighbour. She is a baby boxer named Molly and we play every evening when her humans come home and let her outside.

I had to go to the vet a few weeks ago. I met a baby porcupine and he left some quills in my bottom lip. Mommy and daddy took me to the emergency vet and they took care of me. While I was under the anesthetic, we agreeed I would donate some blood. I got a new toy as a reward.

I will try to stop in again more often.

I had a wonderful birthday. My mom and dad got me my favorite smoked bone....yummy ( I think there may be a couple more but they only gave me one. I buried it in case they might give me another one)

Well daddy's ankle healed up and we went back to our regular routine of running every morning and going for drives in the truck several times a day.
My human sister got married this summer so we had lots of fun fixing up the yard for the outdoor wedding. Mom and I did a lot of digging in the garden. I know she appreciated my help. As it turned out , it rained so the wedding was in the church but we got to have the party after in the tents in the yard. I didn't feel very well the next day and mom and dad were not happy when they found out why. It turns out the cans I was stealing off the tables and emptying on the ground so I could drink the contents when no one was looking was something called beer and it makes your tummy and head feel bad the next day. Mommy scolded me and said I was not to do it again. If someone hadn't caught me, she would never have known....oh well.

I have a birthday this week. I wonder what mommy and daddy have planned.
