Arrival Story:
I was at the pound looking for a new dog for my aunt, and I saw this calm, scared little female Australian Cattle Dog (my favorite!) siting in her cage, staring up at me, begging me to save her. Oh, Boy, I’m getting this one out! My Mum was with me, and we thought she'd be just the right size for my aunt, who had recently lost her wonderful dog of 16 years. We went outside to get to know her a bit, and the second my bum hit the concrete, she began the process of selling herself, and she did a good job! She curled herself up in my lap, kissing and loving up to me, and she looked up at me with that look they give, you know that look, that desperate, “you MUST take me, you just MUST, look at me, how could you NOT take me, how could you leave me here to die?” that was it, I knew I had to have her! We called my aunt, who decided it was too soon for a new dog. It had been like 10 minutes, so I was TOTALY attached! I was NOT leaving her there! So, I talked my Mum into calling my Dad at home and convincing him. We went home, and came back 30 minutes later, with my Dad, and brother and sister. We adopted her on the spot! WAHOOOOOO!!! I finally have an Australian Cattle Dog! She's been ever so sweet, and loyal, and grateful as can be, and only a little destructive. She has really come out of her shell, and has an abundance of energy, and is a complete suck up!

Chilli got her name from Steve Irwine's (AKA:the Crocodile Hunter) first dog, and best friend, he found in the bush, in the midle of nowhere. He had Chilli for many years, she was killed tragickly by gunshot. He misses her a lot, and often tears up, when talking about her. So, as a tribute to chilli, and Steve I named my verry loyal, loving dog after her.
