Arrival Story:
We went to the shelter to look, and we found our Lola. She was 5 lbs of pure and utter sweetness. There was Lola and two of her sisters in one kennel/extremely tiny room. One just slept in the corner and was sweet but didn't manage to touch our hearts.I went in with them and my dad held the hyper dog, and we really wanted her. While my parents went outside to talk Lola crawled into my lap. I think she either chewed on me or my hands and then fell asleep. She of course licked my hands and my face as she still does today and I fell in love. My parents came back and said yes and then walked to the desk to sign the papers. I walked out with Lola crying tears of love and remember saying, "She's perfect." We left with her and when we took her to the vet he said that he had to put down 10 newly adopted dogs from that shelter and that we were so lucky she didn't YET catch distemper. I learned that I may have saved Lola's life but Lola definately saved mine.

Bio:
Lola hasn't gone through any training and is the best trained dog. She loves to cuddle and well um, pee. She has a leaky bladder but she's getting better. She barks at everyone and everything, but its so funny. When she barks she tries to sound so furocious, but she is really the sweetest thing. She makes pigeon noises when I play with her and its really the wierdest thing I've ever heard. She chews on EVERYTHING. She recently chewed both mine and my mom's digital camera connectors (that's why I haven't changed Lola's pics recently), Electrical socket cover, toilet paper, used kleenex, and her friends Garfield and Ginger. All that dog does (when she isn't chewing or playing with the other animals) is snuggle and LICK! She is my lil' licker. She loves to give slobbery kisses, but her breath is surprisingly better than most clean humans. Sometimes my mom says I am part rabbit because I jump 4 foot gates and jump almost anything!

My visit to the vet....dun dun dun...AAAAHHHH!

Yesterday I went to the vet with Ginger to get Bordatella shots. Ginger was really scared but I was terrified! When it was my turn the vet picked me up and put me on a scale. As he was lifting me onto the scale I peed on the floor and him! When I was a puppy I peed on his table but I topped it off yesterday! I was shaking, my back was arched, and eyes wide as silver dollars. I had to get bordatella nasal spray since I had to get yearly shots too! The vet's helper gave us each a chicken flavored treat, but I ate Ginger's treat so I got two! After the vet mommy took me for a walk with Ginger and I almost pulled her arm off and mommy tripped over Ginger. That's how excited we were to get outta that scary place!

Lola Belle you make me crazy! Crazy in love and crazy in the head! I love you with all my heart and love when you snuggle your perfect little nose near my heart. I love to always be close to you whether we are snuggling or playing a game of fetch. When I am sad I can count on you to cheer me up. I wouldn't change anything about you including your submissive bladder. The truth is your perfect and I love you more than you will ever know. You are truly my best friend.

New puppy?

Ginger and I were doing our daily walk and a doggy ran up to us and started following us for awhile. We were barking alot and so was he. Then we went home to my mommy and she was like, "Puppy!" I was sad because that is what she calls me! Was he going to be our new puppy? We couldn't find his owners so mommy took him to the animal shelter. He had a collar and part of a rope on his collar so he muct have escaped. He was afraid of water too! When they saw Mr. Puppy they said, "He was just here." Mommy said she looked at the puppies there and just started balling. I felt so bad for me mommy. She said we doggies don't know how lucky we are to have homes, family, toys, food, walks, and all the other stuff we take for granted. Mommy is right. Think about it. So my fellow dogs and pups be thankful for the life that you have.
