That's right pups, POOL is a 4-letter word. Just like another bad word...BATH! Momma put a little water in my pool the other afternoon, and then we went wading in it. I didn't really like it, but Momma seemed to have a good time. Personally, I think it's too much like a bathtub and not enough like the beach. Where are all the dead crabs and seaweed to sniff? Where is the sand to get between your toes? Where is the wind that makes your ears do that funny flappy thing? Not in the pool, that's for sure.

Last night was the first night of doggie school. The peculiar thing is that doggies didn't get to go...just their people. So Momma went to doggie school without me, although she didn't learn very much. I told her to fetch the stick, and she just looked at me and made a face. I told her to throw the kong, but she was too busy watching a dragonfly. I told her to lay on the floor so I could bounce on her, but she said she was happy on the couch. She's got a long way to go if she's going to call herself well-behaved!
In other news, she brought this big blue round thing home with her last night. Momma called it a swimming pool. She said when it gets hot we'll put water in it so we can cool off our toes. Today is nice and sunny, so maybe I'll get to play in it tonight! Woof!

Daddy was cleaning out his room tonight. He said the dust bunnies were making his nose tickly, so he sucked them up with the vacuum cleaner. He could've just let me take care of 'em...but he gave me something else to work on instead. It seems there was a very pesky monkey hiding in his office, so he asked me to handle it.....AND I DID!!
I took that rotten sneaky monkey out in the back yard and I let him have it. I bit him and I shook him and I tossed him and I chased him. I swung him around and I body slammed him. I pounced on him. I even tore one of his legs off. Just when it was getting really good (the stuffing was starting to leak out) Momma came over and took him away....she said she didn't want me urping up monkey-fluff all night long. I can't believe she interrupted my hunt like that, sheesh. She has no respect for my mighty hunting skills.
In honor of my hunt, Momma is putting the video on my page-yahoo!
**Warning: The monkey hunt video is rated PG (primate guidance suggested) due to extreme violence against a plush monkey**
I hope you enjoy the video. Daddy is still running that mean ol' vacuum, so I'm going to go hide in the bed.

Hi Everywoof!
I'm sorry it's been furever....Momma said she's been too busy to write an entry for me. What could possibly be more important than ME???
Let's see, what have I been up to for the past couple of months....I've:
Been visiting Chloe and been visited by Hooley
Gone to the park and the pet store and the pet fair and the VET (grrr!)
Been brushed and bathed and pawdicured
Been eating and sleeping and dreaming (Momma and Daddy say I woof in my sleep-how silly!)
Traveled to Seattle to visit Grandma Roni and Grandpa Bob
Helped Momma plant the garden and then dug it back up
Watched the itty bitty ducklings grow and grow and grow
Yup...just business as usual.
I went out and visited Chloe this weekend too. We had a really good time, although Momma didn't seem to appreciate me bouncing her out of bed extra-early to go play (she kept muttering "It's only 5:30 DOG! Go back to sleep"). Chloe and I had good games of tag, keep-away, wrestling and soccer. We helped Grandpa Kevin change the brake shoes on Momma's car (why do cars wear shoes anyhow?). Just between you and me, those people out at Chloe's house are total suckers for big brown eyes....we managed to mooch treats and nibbles from just about everyone.....Momma, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Pat and Auntie Donna...oh yeah, they all fell for it. And I got to sing along with the choir next door, although Chloe said I was a little off-key and I wasn't singing the right words. Hmph!
Well, I guess that's about it.
Bark atcha later!

Woohoo! What a wonderful wintery white day! Momma and Daddy both got to stay home since the roads were so slippery, so we played in the backyard and at the park all day. We would come inside just long enough to get warmed up (or take a nap or bark at the people in the park) and then back out we'd go.
At the park, we played snow tag, and we made up a new game called " 'Sno-fetch," and we called it that because there'sno fetch for a snowball! Momma would throw it and I would chase it and find it (usually), but every time I tried to pick it up, it crumbled in my mouth!
Momma also did the momma-type-thing and took a bajillion pictures of me in the snow, and a couple of them are on my page now! Enjoy!
Here's to fur coats and warm laps during this wintery storm!
Have a grrrrrreat week.
Kelpie kisses,
Dori

Sooo....math is not my strong suit. When I counted all of my friends, I came up with 12...but then when I put myself in (I won't tell on which day!) that made the total 13. So you get a bonus dog--Happy Howlidays!!
PS-Momma said we should add them all today as some folks will be travelling away from their 'puters for an extra-long weekend. Be sure to e-mail or p-mail us with the answers to get your prizes! Thanks for playing!
