People and FOOD

He was afraid of the dark (slept with a nightlight) & cried when his 2 human caretakers were out of the room

Favorite Toy:
Sadly, he didn't seem to know what to do with toys

Favorite Food:
Skip never met a food he didn't like and he was also responsible for leading his fellow canine commandos on cupboard, fridge and trash raids.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere he could wind up sitting and watching people and cars go by

Best Tricks:
Skip's best trick was survival against all odds...and being irrestibably charming

Arrival Story:
Skip was found as a stray and was brought into a rescue group we volunteered with. As soon as we saw him on the website, we fell in love with his big brown eyes and scooped him right up.

Aside from being old and 3 legged, Skip was also deaf. Shortly after he came to us he developed severe back problems and ultimately required surgery to alleviate the pain and prevent paralysis. He fully recovered and was full of spunk. Like his 2 sisters, Skip helped out beagle rescue when he could. You can check out some New England beagles needing homes at: Skip left us for the Rainbow Bridge onFebruary 25, 2005. He was a very special guy and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him

According to the latest stats, there are 1508 beagles here. Well, 3 of them live at my house...and I'd like to invite ALL the rest to become our pup pals, we all know...beagles are very, very friendly and like to hang out in packs !
