Favorite Toy:
Anything rubber - my Cuz, my Kongs. Those are the only toys I can't destroy!

Favorite Food:
Canidae. And peanut butter for a yummy treat.

Favorite Walk:
I love our dog park! It's the best place ever!

Best Tricks:
Shake and Roll Over - sometimes I Spin instead.

Arrival Story:
I left my litter when I was 8 weeks old to come home to my mommy and daddy. They got married last year and really wanted a dog to love, so I think I'm going to have a pretty pampered life! After lots of research, they decided on a golden retriever because I will be their only baby for a few years, but after that they're hoping I'll have some human siblings and love the whole family.

I am a 7-month-old Golden Retriever. Lots of my brothers, sisters and cousins have been showdogs, guide dogs, or search and rescue dogs, but my life plans are to be a spoiled family member and possibly a hunting buddy.

First Road Trip

I took my first road trip this weekend to spend Easter with mommy and daddy at my aunt and uncle's house. I took the three-hour drive like a pro and was such a good puppy the whole time we were there! I played nice with their dog and their little boy, napped or sat quietly in my crate when the family needed time without a puppy running around, slept through the whole night without waking up to go potty and didn't have a single accident in their brand-new house! My parents were SO proud of me.

I Can Jump on the Furniture!

Last night I jumped up on mommy and daddy's sofa for the first time! Usually I just put my front paws on the edge of the cushions and look like I wish I could get up there with them, so they were wondering when I'd get brave enough to try to hop up. Tonight I made the big leap! They were so surprised and I was a little bit too. Now they are working on teaching me Off so I will know I can only be on the furniture if they invite me. How exciting!

First Accident-Free Morning!

I have been struggling with pottying in my crate while mommy and daddy are at work. They decided now that I am 12 weeks to try taking the towel out of my crate so it couldn't soak up the pee if I had an accident. They're not sure if I knew I'd be uncomfortable or just didn't want to go on a hard surface, but I didn't pee in the crate this morning! I was all clean and dry when mommy came home at lunch to let me out and take me for a walk. That means I "held it" for almost 4 hours, which everyone says is the norm for my age. This is the first time I've held it that long during the day. They are so excited and hoping I'll still be accident-free when they come home from work this evening!
