Arrival Story:
Shortly after my husband and I moved into our house, we knew we were missing something. We both had dogs that we had left behind at our parents' houses, and we both knew we were missing that special companionship of having a dog. We decided to take a few months to research different breeds and settle into our house after getting married. We knew we wanted something small, friendly and great with kids, since we planned on having kids soon. One day I was out walking in a small town's downtown area. As I walked out of a shop, I saw a lady walking the cutest little fluffy dog with the biggest ears I'd ever seen on a dog that small. This little pooch, a black and white Papillon, quickly won me over with it's beauty, friendliness, and charm. After researching the breed a little bit at home, we knew that a Papillon was the perfect dog for us. So, in about late November, we began our search via the internet for a reliable Papillon breeder. Finally, in late December, I located a woman who's Papillons had just had puppies on the 24th, three boys and two girls. We talked it over, and decided to put a reserve on one of the little girls. I fell in love with her(as tiny as she was) with the first picture I saw of her. The wait until we were able to go get her seemed long. We were so excited, and could not wait to get our new baby girl! Finally, on February 18th, we drove the seven hours to the breeder's house, and finally met our darling little Lucy.

Bio:
Lucy is one of the lights of our lives(the other being her sister, Dixie the cat). She is the most loveable and affectionate dog I've ever known. She loves everyone she meets, and loves to play with other dogs (and cats). She is such a joy to have around.
