Arrival Story:
We wanted a companion for Ellie to keep her company while we're away at work. We contacted the same breeder, and pretty soon Bonnie was on her way! She also flew on an airplance to get here and was a very brave girl. She and Ellie are half sisters and best friends.

Oh my, what an exciting day I had today! It was the annual Dachshund Octoberfest today at Washington Square Park in NYC and there were soooo many doxies to play with! Being German, we dachshunds of course have to celebrate Octoberfest! I made so many new friends, got to sniff and lick, and see my boyfriend Noodles. Lots of people came to pet me, take my picture and tell me how beautiful I am. It made me feel special, but I'm a little bit shy so I stayed near my Mommy. After all that excitement, I am very very tired now so I better go take a nap. Thanks to all of my new doxie friends for letting me play! See you next year!

Today is my 1st birthday!!! Mommy thinks this is the best time for me to start my very own diary. Mommy can't believe I'm not a puppy any more, but she says I will always be her little girl. I don't really understand what birthdays are all about, but I know today has been a great day! I got lots of attention and treats today. Maybe every day can be a birthday from now on! I hope all the other birthday doggies out there are having a good day too!
