Arrival Story: Cedar was born next door to where we live. Our good neighbor Curtis said that I could have one of the five puppies. They were all so cute and just the right size for our small home. I would go over every day to see the puppies and watch them grow. They were all so cute but Cedar stole my heart. It was like he picked me not the other way around.
Bio: Cedar was born outside in a little dog shed with seven sibings. Two of them died. Being winter they were kept warm with Cedar chips and a heater. So, when I first picked him up I could smell the cedar wood and that is how he got his name.
My baby boy as born Jan. 11th 2004 and I can still see and feel the love of meeting him that day like it was yesterday. That was 11 years 10 months and 17 days before his passing to be with the heavenly angels. My heart is heavy and my tears are still flowing like a waterfall. I didn't want him to go I was not ready but I guess we are never ready to lose such a love.
I know he will forever live in my heart and soul till the day I join him. I said my goodbyes. I kissed him so gently. I was lost staring into his face but knew I was doing the right thing for him. ............he was laid to rest with love
On Feb. 17TH of this year mama and I moved once again. This time to a peaceful place. Sometimes I think it's to peaceful if that is possible.
My sleeping habits has changed. I now sleep a lot more on top of the covers. Fur eight years I have always slept undercover in mama's bed. I also slept into nine or ten in the morning.
Since being here I have gotten mama up every, I mean every single morning before seven a.m.. Had her take me out and then back in fur my morning snackie. Once she was good and awake I would go back to bed for my morning nap... heheheeeeeee leaving her up and posting fur me in my groups here in dogster.
Why am I telling you all this because TODAY was the first day I let mama sleep into 9:30. Shocked, mama was!!! Mama was so happy I got two yes two snackie after going outside fur my morning walk.
Love is letting mama sleep in and doubling up on your snackies! :)
As the sun shines down around us. As rain showers makes the flowers bloom. Spring is here and love is in the air once more.
Her name is Reba, she's bright and so so funny. She brightens my days and nights. We have been friends for years here on dogster and played a lot of tricks on each other. Never did I think we would become any more than friends.
Guess one never knows how love blooms from kidding around but it does I'm living proof hehehehe! We barked about the future and both of us agree that a dogster marriage will never be.
I just want to thank her for being a very big part of my life and loving me..... love ya Me Reba!
Bring it on Reba, dish it out you know I can take it! We can't let the fun die now can we?
I have made this place my home away from home. I have shared tears, laughter, hope, dreams and a lot of love. I have seen pups
and kitties come into the world and had to say goodby to more then
I want to count.
I have made many friends and even got married.... then I lost my first love when she left dogster. I've met a few friends and always wish I could meet all of you.
Today, I celebrate my 5th year on dogster and wow what a run it has been. It seems like it was just months ago but I'm so happy that I am a part of your life as you are mine. So, you see I couldn't let this day go by without thanking you all for you love, support and your time you share with me.
Love you all from the botton of my heart and soul.....
