 Quick Bio:
Likes: I love to be with my people, especially Mommy. I also like going on walks and car rides, esp to Starbuck's and the bank where they give me treats!

Pet-Peeves: I get nervous when I see other dogs close to my property. But I really don't like it when my people love on my Mommy; she's my Mommy. I also don't like it when my kids blow in my face or ears!

Favorite Toy: I love toys! Squeeky, jingling, fuzzy toys. I also like all that paper stuff in the bathroom trash can; it really makes a big mess. My favorite thing to play with is my bed. I flip it over and hide underneath it! The cat is also a very cool toy!

Favorite Food: I love soft food even though my Mommy usually mixes it with a little hard food. I LOVE treats, esp chew sticks - I like to hide them for later.

Favorite Walk: I like to go to that mailbox over there and then back to my mailbox and then to the mailbox in the next yard!

Best Tricks: I haven't really learned any tricks yet but my people think I know how to roll over, I really just want a belly rub. My people also think it's cool when I stand on my hind legs.

Arrival Story: When we found out our beloved 12 year old Sheltie had bladder cancer I began thinking of how I couldn't live without a dog in my house. We boat in the summer and really needed a dog that was boat-worthy, but not so big as to take over the entire boat. Several boaters had dachshunds and I just loved their dispositions and floppy years. I began to research the breed online; discovered the long-haired line and fell in love. I located a breeder of miniature long hairs who was getting ready to breed two adults that I really liked. I put my name down for a golden or red male. Scout's litter was born on April 24 and on June 24 I flew down to Orlando from Indy to pick him up. Yea, a little extravagant for a puppy, but oh was he worth it! He really helped with the transition of losing our Sheltie.

Bio: Scout is very lovable and affectionate. He has a HUGE personality and can be very social to others outside of his family, after he barks at them and determines they aren't a threat. He is very good with my kids (12 & 8 yrs old) and is completely submissive to my husband as the alpha male. He is a great dog! His father, Little Boy Boo, is a National Champion and his mother, Lacee, is a beautiful golden; both parents are from the Dachshund Ranch in Oviedo, FL. Scout's AKC registered name is Lacee's Little Boy Scout. He is one lucky dog and receives so much love from his family!

Forums Motto: I know I'm cute!

I am one year old today! Or seven, if you want to be exact. I am the same age as my boy! My Mommy keeps singing some strange song to me, all I know is it has my name in it and she gets really excited and then gives me a treat. I like treats! My girl said something about a cake, so I've been sniffing around to find one. I like cake, well I've never actually had cake, but it sure sounds nice. I better take a nap now so I'm plenty rested for the cake. It takes a lot of energy to be one. Happy Birthday to all of the other doggies on Dogster! I hope they get cake, too! :---) Woof!
