Today is my birfday and my heart was all a flutter from thinking about all the special tweats I'm gonna get today...I barely slept last night trying to figure out all the surprises that mommy and daddy had planned for me.

The morning started off on the right foot because as soon as we woke up mommy gave us a ginger bread tweat to hold us over until breakfast. Then mommy made me a SPECIAL birfday breakfast which she gave me only after she sang her off key rendition of "Happy Birfday"...

When daddy came home we were off to the dog beach...Mommy and daddy wore their puggy shirts for the occasion and Yoshi got trampled by a bigger dog and took a tumble in the sand...my poor brudder hand sand stuck way up in his wrinkles...being a smart puggy...I watched and wealized that I don't weally care for the sand or the water so I sat by and enjoyed the view and watched all the bigger dogs jump in the water to fetch a ball...

After the beach we were so tired, but there were more surprises to come...Mommy and Daddy took us to the Surf Dog Market and picked up my birfday cake and some more baked tweats! Mmmmm....drool...I also took the time to mark something expensive on the floor (which I did get in trouble for, but not as much as usual). Then grandma Kou came over to have dinner and we got the most delicious moist birfday cake ever which we gobbled up in no time...

Now we're exhausted and watching football with mommy and daddy in our USC jerseys, but I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open...Snore...Snore...ZZzzzzz...Snore...(getting consistantly louder)

Thanks every puggy for your birfday wishes...friends like you have made my birfday extra special...

At 1 am on Monday morning daddy woke mommy up from dead sleep because I was "acting funny". My tummy was cramping up and I couldn't straighten my body. Mommy gently put me on the floor and as much as I tried to stand up I couldn't. Mommy and daddy were so worried and even the slinky Yoshi was so worried that he behaved himself. Mommy suspected that I had a tummy infection (which I have had before and scared mommy and daddy half to death). Early that morning daddy dropped me off at the doctors office and later that day it was confirmed...and mommy was right. The doctors kept me over night while mommy and daddy hounded them with phone calls. Then the next day the doctor called to tell daddy that I was Okay, but too cute to send home...What a relief.

When daddy FINALLY came to get me I was so happy to see him. My doctor took me on a final walk refusing to let me go, but I just wanted to be with my family. Now I am on prescription dog food and chicken tweats. I only get 1/3 of a can per day and this wittle puggie is wasting away! The little slinky keeps on wanting to play and who's got the energy for that on the wittle scrap they feed me.

So here goes my dear puggy fwends...
I will do ANYTHING if you will throw me some of your scraps...
Just a little sniff of those delicious puggy tweats I used to take advantage of.
Mmmmmm.....just thinking about them makes my mouth water (drool...drool...drool...)
Come on give it to me...I can take it!

THE PEST

One day mommy and daddy drove away with a friend and Oh my pug! WHAT DID THEY DO! They came home with this little tail wagging, wet kissing, biting, tail uncurling, love handle biting, raw hide stealing, noisy pesky pest a pug has ever seen. This thing will not leave me alone! He snuggles next to me and uses my tummy as a pillow!...He's so not anything for a tough puggie like me. He jumps, he poos, he's in my face and not only that he threatens to take my treats and my food. I keep telling them to take him back, but morning after morning he wakes us up! I just have one question....WHY?...WHY? I'm getting bags under my eyes from the lack of beauty sleep from watching him all day. I entertain my parents with what they call walrus fighting...The only good thing about him is that he is so crazy that he is making me look like the perfect little angel...I keep looking at mommy and saying "I told you I was the perfect puppy!"

Uh...oh....I've got the farts!

Today was weally hot and I drank all this water. Mommy took me to the park and I ran with the big dogs and tinkled and stinkied and then drank more water. Now my tummy is so bloated and hard and ooooh ahhhhhh....I've got the farts (letting out a silent, but deadly one). I'm laying on my bear rug and I just let them out maybe if I lay weally still mommy will think daddy is doing it...hehehe...Daddy tried to take me on a walk today and as he was putting on my harness I let one out. You guys would be proud...not only did I catch daddy off guard, it was so stinky that daddy actually had to stop and take a breath elsewhere! What...don't act like your farts don't stink...I'm not the only one who farts in this house! Hmmp!

My life is slowly returning to normal after all those visitors. Yesterday was the first day I got back on my routine...well almost. Daddy went to work and then mommy soon followed after distracting me with a treat. I made her give me two because I stole the one in her hand while she was putting on her shoes! That mommy underestimates my cleverness sometimes and I always end up teaching her a lesson. I got to nap all day in the peace and quiet of my home while everyone was gone! THANK GOODNESS FOR THE ROUTINES! This was a much welcomed rest since this has been an exhausting weekend entertaining my people. When my mommy go back from work she was going to take me to the dog park so I could run the fence with the big dogs, but it started to rain...phooey! I probably won't get to go today either since it is still raining! Double Phooey!! Didn't Mother Nature get the memo? It's spring in California! It's not supposed to rain! RAIN...RAIN...GO AWAY DON'T COME BACK! Oh well...(yawn)...since I'm stuck in side I should make use of my time and go back to bed. 99....snore...snore...snort...

Boy my mommy and daddy are sure lucky to have me...This lady mom calls gomo came to visit for a couple of days and I DID ALL THE WORK! I had to watch her while they were at "work" and boy did she get around the house!?! What does a pug have to do to get some sleep around here? This lady was up stairs, downstairs, in the bathroom, then upstairs again...then she took me on her so called walks three times that day and every time she gets so impatient with me for taking the time to sniff!?! OF ALL THE NERVE! Who does she think I am a giant simple minded retriever? REALLY! The one good thing about her was that she wasn't afraid to FEED me. She gave me a FULL dinner...and actually filled the bowl to the top! After that meal I was so exhausted from the day's activities that I just had to sprawl out on the hard wood floor and endulge my food coma...and that is how mom and dad found me on the floor too exhausted to move!

I'm Exhausted!

This morning started with me staring at Daddy to try to wake him up! I give him my most intense stare and when that doesn't work then I begin to nuzzle and finally he tries to ignore me one last time and I pounce on his chest and hold him down then he can fight no more and finally calls for Mommy to rescue him. Daddy doesn't understand when I have to go...I REALLY HAVE TO GO! Mommy finally comes in and lets me out. Today, Daddy went to work and I stayed home with Mommy. She let me out on the patio so I could lay out in the sun and then to my surprise halmoni and harabogi came over. Oh...I'm so excited when they come because halmoni is such a sucker to my cuteness and will give up food very easily. All these people demanding my attention! I had no time for my daily nap and now they are all still up watching baseball! I cannot sleep knowing that these people are in the house unsupervised so I am laying in my bed giving them my most sleepy look...and then I will begin snoring...a very soft rhythmic snore....(Its all about strategy in taking care of humans)...snore...snore...ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
