Baby Sister's are the Pits!

So I was so excited to get a sister and now I am waiting for someone to take her away =) She is ALWAYS getting into things she is not suppose to or doing things she isn't suppose to, like chasing the cats (that is a big no no in my house) and she gets into the cat litter box sometimes too (which is sooo gross). She also tries to take over my bed, my crate, my toys....I don't know what Mom was thinking when she got this girl....I hate to share and she is always trying to take over my house. Mom says I have to share with her because I guess I am a bit of a toy hog, I just can't help it. Plus puppy teeth HURT! I have scratches and bites all over from Pebbles....Mom says I need to put her in her place but I can't, I guess I'm a softie afterall, so Mom has been the one to discipline Pebbles...something about if I don't then Pebbles is going to dominate me...so I guess I need to start standing up for myself cause Mom says that Pebbles is going to be bigger than me, yeah right! I will alwyas be the big one...then again Pebbles is already 4 months and almost as tall as I am, yikes maybe Mom is right, could it be true?? Oh well as I think about it, I guess Pebbles does have her good traits as she is my constant companion when Mom is gone and I do get extra treats because of her, she does keep me warm at night when we snuggle together on the bed, AND I guess with her around I am always the good one cause I know better than she does, so yeah I guess she has her good points afterall LOL =)

New Sister!!

I am so excited to announce that I got a new baby sister!! Mom rescued a 7 week old female Pit Bull from the rough streets of South Phoenix. Mom says she had a pretty hard first 7 weeks so it's up to us to socialize her and get her healthy again. I am not allowed to play with her yet, Mom said she has to be looked over, so hopefully by Wednesday I will get to play with her and I can't wait!! I get so excited when I see her outside with Mom, I try not to jeolous but I think it might happen since I've had Mom all to myself for that last 3 years....Mom said that it will be good for me since I'm all alone with no one to play with...I play really rough so playing with other dogs is not a good thing cause they can't take it...I miss my cousin Happy, she was the only dog that let me play rough with her, with the exception of my friend/nephew Tahoe. (Sigh) I can't wait to wrestle with my sister, keep your eyes opened for her page =)

Weight Pull Tournament

Hi Friends,

I just got back from a weight pull tournament in San Marcos, CA which is just outside of San Diego...it was a great weekend, sunshine and fresh air, I had a blast!! I was a little sick on Friday and a little Saturday morning but I was determined to pull regardless but as soon as I got up on the platform, I had a meltdown...I wasn't sure what I was suppose to do so I barked at my mom for help. Of course she doesn't speak dog so she had no idea what I was asking so we got disqualified and Mom was bummed at me. She attached my harness to one of the training sleds and we walked around with it, it was only 40 pounds but it felt heavier, everytime we stopped I felt like I had to spring forward to get it moving again. After a few times of stopping and starting I got the hang of it again and it was second nature. Once the tournament was over I got to do a few practice pulls and I did fine, so I was ready for part two of the tournament the next day. I started off really well and as the weight progressed I started to loose confidence but mom stayed close and helped me through it. Each time I pulled I was rewarded with yummy turkey meat and cheeses, my favorite. I ended up pulling 1,380 pounds my personal best!! Mom was so pleased with me she kept telling me that I did great so I was happy that she was happy with my performance. Anyway, I had a great time this weekend, I am going to keep training with the sled and work my way up to more weight in two months....so until then, thanks for reading this.

1st Flyball Run!

So I just got back from Campo, CA this weekend, I went to my 1st tournament where I actually got to run!! I ran in doubles and did really well although I dropped my ball on one of the runs and went to visit the dog next to me at one point which I am not suppose to do but I couldn't help myself =) Everyone said I was a good boy, I just wish mom was there to see it but she was home visiting our family. She flew home to be with my grandma who is not feeling well and she couldn't take me cause she flew home last minute so I went with our team to our tournament cause they needed me. We are going to Logandale over Memorial Day so I can't wait!! Mom will be there so she will be running me and I am so excited to make her happy!
Mom also talked to me about getting another dog, she asked me if it would be ok, which I told her it would, cause I really want some company cause the cats ignore me when I am in my crate during the day, so another dog would be cool!! I will keep you updated as to if and when I get a lil brother or sister. Anyways, like always thanks for reading this, until next time friends!

UPDATE!

Well so much has happened since my last entry....let's see I earned my UWP title in Weight Pulling at the last tournament, I didn't do very well but I did well enough to earn my title so my mom was happy about that. The only reason why I didn't do well was because my mom wasn't feeling well and was having trouble with her knee, she said it's because her arthritis is bothering her...she hasn't been feeling well for 2 months, which bums be out cause then I can't go to the park or do fun things...but anyway, she wasn't feeling well so my aunt Laurie tried to pull me but I only wanted to pull for my mom...she wss hiding from me which freaked me out so I acted like a fool and I got disqualified. Now that Mom is feeling better I will do much better at the next tournament. I also debuted in flyball last weekend...again Mom wasn't feeling well so she didn't run me and I ran amuck at the warm up so I got pulled and just did some practice between races. I am going to compete in singles and pairs at the next tournament in Campo so I am very excited!! Well that is about all for now, check out my new pictures that I had taken at the last weight pull, my mom was very happy with them and I hope you like them too!

1st Weight Pull Tournament!

Hey Friends,

Well I just got back from a fun filled sunny weekend in San Marcos, California. I was entered into my 1st ever Weight Pull Tournament. I was a bit nervous at first, cause I wasn't sure what my mom wanted me to do, cause all I wanted to do was run around in the huge field that was next to the track. I pulled 540 pounds on my 1st day and earned 1 leg on Saturday and then Sunday I pulled 900 pounds which earned me my 2nd leg towards my title. I need 1 more leg to get my Weight Pull Title and then I can move forward and pull for points towards my Championship Weight Pull Title. Mom was very proud of me, she was positive in communicating what she wanted and then after it was easy. I loved the crowd cheering my name, I can't wait for the next tournament. I'll keep you informed of my doings and thanks for reading this.

Happy New Year

Hi friends,

It's been a while now since I've gotten on the computer and wrote something. Mom has been busy with work, she worked an awful lot these past 6 weeks and is just now able to get back to our normal routine. It was hard on me, I hardly ever saw her and when I did she was already tired so I just layed down with her and acted like I didn't mind that she didn't want to play. These past few days though have been great, I went to the park two days in a row and met some new dog friends. They tried to chase me and get my ball but I am much too fast for them, but it was fun for them to TRY to catch me. I love it when I get chased, it's a great game, I have yet to meet someone who can catch up to me, although my nephew Tahoe is getting close. I went to flyball practice on Saturday, I had a blast, I ended the practice with jumping into the pool and taking a dip. Mom didn't think it was time for a swim so I was taken out of the pool and put in my crate. I guess the just don't know how much I love to swim...I can't help it, I love the water. In fact I overheard Mom saying that she is going to enter me into the upcoming Dock Dog event that is coming out here in March. I can't wait, I already earned some points at the last tournament so I am very excited to see if I can earn a title. I also have an upcoming weight pulling tournament in about two weeks, I am hoping to do some good pulls so I can get some points towards a title. My aunt Laurie got me a new custom harness for weight pulling, in fact Mom and Laurie are going to pick out some cool material for my harness next weekend and get me all sized up, I can't wait. Geez all of this talk of these events are getting me psyched and excited. Well wish me luck and thanks for taking the time to read my diary. Till next time friends =)

Homelife in Arizona

So me and Mom, are finally settled in our new home....things are alot different here than in California, for one being that it is much hotter here.....it's days like this that I really miss the beach (sigh). Mom says that we will go back and visit the family and that she will take me to the beach when we go, that will be great! I love jumping in the surf, it's the best!! We just moved into our new house, it's really big and since we just moved and we don't have a lot of our stuff yet I can run around the house, sometimes Mom will hide and I have to find her, but when I can't find her, I start to panic and will SOMETIMES let out a wimper, that lets Mom know that the game is over. She then pops out from where ever she was and it's great fun! Living in Arizona is great, I am now in flyball and continuing my training, everyone says I am doing really good and I am smoking fast!! I can't wait to compete....I also like chasing all the different bugs here...I think it might just be my imagination but I think the bugs are a lot bigger here...hmmm not sure.....well I better log off, Mom will be home from work soon and she promised that she would take me to the park with my friends Tahoe & Ellie...I met another dog at the park named Diesel last time, we had a blast running around, so hopefully I'll see him again....ok well till next time friends =)
