Arrival Story:
I went to a dog shelter some years back. As I was leaving the shelter, this woman chased after me and asked if I was looking to adopt a dog. Without thinking, I said yes (You see...I wasn't really deadset on getting a dog...just browsing). So, I followed this woman to her house and shortly after I arrived she brought out this lil' pup named Simba. What an adorable little mutt he was...with floppy ears and big ol' smile. After playing with Simba for a bit, I told Simba's guardian that, unfortunately, I was going to have to pass. I informed her that I didn't grow up with dogs and didn't know the first thing about taking care of a pup. Her response - "Listen...you can always bring him back." And that is the story of how I got Checkers (formerly known as Simba). I would never think of giving him back. :)
