We purchased him from a local breeder. We went looking for a black lab, but fell in love with Austin. He was the largest pup in the litter. Bio: Austin was named after a friend of mine who is a firefighter--Dave Austin. Dave went to ground zero to help after 9/11. And in April (when Austin was born) 9/11 was still very much on everyone's mind. Austin was named in Dave's honor.
