He TRULY belongs to our family now

We will always miss you and adore you Woochie!

Deanie boy passed away on September 8, 2008. He was only 10 and it is heartbreaking.

Beginning our 2nd year

We have had Dean for 2 years now and within the last 6 months, we have noticed that he has truly become a member of our family.
He is so comfortable here. He has made his new favorite "bed location" close to the gas fireplace for the heat.
Also, he has found out the sunbathing in the living room in the morning can be VERY relaxing- even if relaxing was already his favorite thing to do. HA!
Another new milestone, after a year of "do I have to?" looks, Dean gives us his paw. I mean REALLY gives it to us when we ask. I think he knew all along, he just never felt like it!!
He is absolutely adorable. He still loves his "stuffies" and looks to the door for his "Mommy" to come home. When I do come home, he sniffs me all over to make sure that I haven't been with another dog and he pushes me into the house with his nose. If I have been in the company of friend's dogs, I think he acts a little disgruntled by not bothering with me for a moment after the sniff down.
He has bonded well with the kids and he likes when his "teen-age brother" takes him for a walk, but he likes it better when Dad takes him for those super long walks with all the GREAT smells on it!
Dean despises the snow and almost puts his paw down when it's time to go out! When he knows he has no choice, he makes it BRIEF! And then on an extra cold day, he makes his trips out SO brief that he is compelled to leave Mommy "presents" in the house when she goes out! STINKER!
We love him SO much and wouldn't trade him for the world!
