The Big Easy

Dear Diary,

Yesterday, my mommy and I traveled across the world! It seemed like it anyway. See, I live in Spring, Texas, which is not too far from Houston. We got into her traveling mechanism and we drove 6 LONG hours to New Orleans. It was a very long ride and it was very boring. I was very scared so my mommy gave me something to swallow to keep me calm. I took a long nap and woke up a few times to make sure mommy was still there [she always was] and before I knew it, we were in New Orleans. Things smell a little different here than what I’m used to back at home. I hope we don’t stay here too long because I miss Summer and Phoebe. I bet they miss me too.

Mommy keeps saying that today I am 7 months old! Golly! I shall expect wonderful things to happen today. Well, I better get back to this delicious "dental bone" she gave me. If you are reading this, mom, I know this isn't really a "dental bone" it tastes WAY too yummy to be good for my teeth and breath. You don't fool me at all.

My first visit to Cattail Park

Dear Diary,

Today after puppy school and buying me new toys at PetsMart, mom took me to this really cool park where dogs are allowed to run around without a leash. I was a little nervous. Big dogs would run at me and I would run away from them, but they thought I was playing, so they'd keep chasing me. Mom would pick me up so that they would leave me alone. One time I got ran over, so I did a tuck-and-roll and barely escaped. Big meanies.. Until next time, big dogs. WOOF! *snort*
I had lots of fun anyway. I think I'll go and pass out under mommy's feet while she does very important work on her computer.

Water Fun!

Today my mommy's mommy filled up the baby pool for the girls that come every Sunday to play with me. I was so excited. I splashed around as the water kept getting deeper and deeper. It got all the way up to my tummy! I ran in circles around the pool because I was so happy. I tried to grab the tennis ball that was floating around in the water, but it kept moving away from me. My face went in and I didn't like the water going up my nose at all. All in all, I have decided that I like to play in the water. Only if I have some dirt to roll around in afterwards.
