We heard through a friend's mother that someone had found two puppies left in a box on the side of the road out in the country. The family that had found the dogs decided to keep one, but they were going to put the other to sleep because she was too hyper and "bitey." We couldn't stomach the thought of some little girl being put to sleep for being a puppy in the wrong place at the wrong time, so we drove out to their house in the middle of the night to rescue her. When we picked her up, she couldn't stop kissing/biting our ears, wagging her tail, and verbalizing her appreciation. We completely fell for our beautiful Bagel Bite!

It's been really cold outside all week. Dustin won't go outside to play with me. He says it's too cold. Mary Anne likes to go outside and play with me. We've been keeping birds out of the backyard. Mom says that keeping the backyard bird free is my calling. I don't know what that means.
Mary Anne is really cool but when we are inside (that's practically all the time since it's cold) she acts like she doesn't like me. She ignores me and just runs to Baylee or Ronnie. She makes me so mad. She always gets to go bye bye in the car. I hardly ever get to go bye bye in the car. I'll be happy when it gets warm to play outside every day. My mom said that she will take me to the park with the big trees. I hope Mary Anne doesn't go with us. I hate her big fluffy ears.

I'd just like to say that Mary Anne has stupid fluffy ears, and I am not jealous of them even though my mom and brothers and sisters all say so.
I am NOT jealous. Her ears ARE stupid, with the way they flop forward and have stupid little fluffy hairs on top. It's my mission in life to chew them off when she least expects it.
