Here are the rules of the game!

It's been about a half a year since I've found anything on the sidewalk worth
barking about. This morning when we were on our usual walk, I saw my sis
Beanie sniffing like crazy. At first I thought that maybe she smelled her favorite scent- Eau de worm. Ick, as for me, I think I have a more refined taste than her. But amongst the wet fallen leaves she smelled it before me. Then I spotted it. A piece of lunch meat had fallen out of someone's sandwich!!
It looked like a nice piece of Italian ham. Thinly slicked, marbled with fat.....
But unfortunately for me, as I was about it inhale it, my mom quickly jerked me away from it! Darn it! I think I heard her saying to me, "No, Barkley! You don't know how old that is!" Grrrrr. Next time I hope to catch her off guard.

Dear Diary,

Today started off like any other day. My mom was taking me and my sister Beanie for our morning walk before she goes to work. All of a sudden I smelled and spied it. FOOD., there it was right
before my very eyes lying on the sidewalk- two complete, uneaten pizzas. One was cheese and the other sausage. Long before my mom noticed anything out of the ordinary I snagged the meat pizza ate half a slice before my mom bothered to even look down at me. I think she was embarrassed because she looked kind of funny trying to pull the slice out of my mouth while I downed the part that was in my mouth! I tried to tell Beanie to go for it
but she's such a Miss Goodie Two Shoes, she just watched me.Oh well, that just means more for me. Well,
at least breakfast was good today. Way better than the dry dog food I usually get. I wonder what I'll find on my morning walk tomorrow? I'll keep you posted.
